Re: Language requirement for UK citizenship

The link to FCE page does not mention that it is acceptable for UKVI. So you have to choose a test from latest approved test list and take the test. Good luck.

Re: Online Print of Self Assessment St and other Documents.

Guidance for non-PAYE applicants states: SELF-EMPLOYED APPLICANTS If you do not pay tax through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) arrangements, we require • The most recent HM Revenue & Customs Self Assessment Statement of Account So print-outs from your HMRC should be fine, Home Office can always double chec...

Re: supporting documents

It means ILR approval letter, since BRP is subject to loss/renewal. But I also think letter accompanying ILR BRP also states to keep the letter safe. So personally I think either of the two letters should suffice. I would also suggest to click here and book NCS as well. Good luck.

Re: Surname Change to Married before or after Naturalisation

The opinion on such matters differ. Since all previous documents were on Lena, to keep things simple, I am in the favour of leaving the name change till after Naturalisation, as some members had trouble getting UK passport due to name change, while others didn't. I shall await further replies. Good ...

Re: Good character

Time spent in UK during the time of application for further leave to remain in any category, is considered spent under the visa the applicant holds at the time of application for further leave to remain. Personally I dont think you were here illegally as your Tier 2 visa application was in process o...

Re: British Citizenship and English test - TESOL

The latest link provides full list of recognised English tests on page 1. It seems that your TESOL isn't on the list. So personally to keep things simple, I would choose a test and from page 1 in the link and take that. Good luck.

Re: WHM+Tier 2+ILR now Citizenship?

Personally I think such checks would've been made durnig Tier 2 and ILR stages, I don't think there is anything to worry about, however I always did it so would request attaching a cover letter with your application, although its never necessary unless Home Office specifies it. I would await furthe...

Be ready that your Naturalisation certificate might come once-folded. Mine came once-folded and my wife's didn't.

Personally I would wait till I am under 90 days limit. Because as far as I know only Armed forces absences are exempt from the 90 day rule. You could ask for discretion but then its a risk I personally would not take. Good luck.

No need to worry. Just either go to the ceremony they invited you for, or book a private ceremony which costs a fee but you get to choose the time and date.

About travelling, you can travel by all means, but make sure to be able to provide biometrics and attend ceremony in UK. Personally I would not travel unless necessary.

If one parent A is applying for British Citizenship, and parent B has settled (ILR visa for non-EU, PR for EU) in UK then child can apply with parent A.
This was the case with myself as well which went through without any problems. Good luck.
