Child must have no restrictions on their stay in UK if born abroad to parents who were not British at the time of birth, i.e. they must have ILR.

Husband of one of my wife's friends, waited for about 5 months before getting approval. Even based upon this single sample of data, I would not lose hope. Good luck.

Re: Nationality application and credit check

Do you think I should wait another 2 years before my credit history gets reset (after 6 yrs since I signed up for IVA) I read somewhere that after 6 years credit history wipes out all previous bad history and if any organisation searches they wont find anything! From this reference (quoted below) a...

Re: Using NCS on Saturday but eligible on Monday

I second skilachi and would strongly request the applicant to wait till 23rd November. Although you could in theory request NCS to send it a day later, but personally i applied a week after I was eligible. Just because I wasn't in much of a hurry but a senior here urged me not to leave it for too lo...

Re: Want your biometric record deleted after becoming Britis

Hi all, Can we send the fingerprint deletion letter request after the citizenship ceremony but before a new passport has been issued? You can, but its pretty much automated now. Fingerprints are deleted, photo is kept to be matched whenever you apply for first Passport. Also on a side note somethin...

I hope we could make a pretty strong case that her future lies back in the UK, simply by stating that we would be back there already rather than in a third country if her residency wasn't an issue. I am guessing student years need some special requirements to be fulfilled, if coming from EEA route, e.g. Comprehensive Sickness Insurance, funds etc. But I was not from EEA route so would await further replies. Good luck.

No it isn't part of that. But if you are married to British Citizen then you could apply under spouse route. But if you are being truthful of your basis of staying in UK and if it was different than just working, then showing your work history in relative part, then you can see how the form doesn't ...

It will be upon discretion, normally both parents and child must hold ILR status, if other parent does not hold ILR then its upon discretion and these days according to few member's feedback in forum, this discretion is no longer practised if other parent is not on ILR. In your case it is straightforward, but it could be the multiple names in that fields, e.g. basis of stay marriage but also worked, etc. So I wouldn't moan that much :) I would agree to members in this link that EEA folks have it easier than non-EEA route folks. Besides, citizenship is a privilege n...
