Re: Advice: US/Italian dual citizen living in UK with US wif

What is NiNo? Although technically a Residence Card is optional, I would go even further than to say an employer would be "leary" and suggest that no employer (unless the employer is a close friend) would employ someone without a Residence Card. Employers are required to check the employees status a...

Re: Requested passport back - Was told to get a family permi

I don't believe you actually require a family permit or any other document, other than your passport to re-enter the UK as an american.

Re: Travelling from Ireland to UK without a FP

So you're back in the UK?

I really wish airlines would stop 'playing' immigration. like Ryan Air needed to verify documents of non EU travelers...isn't there a title for people who do that? immigration officers? not gate agents...

Re: EEA2 Surinder Singh application - Requesting docs back

Hiya st2447. Any updates to your EEA2 application under SUrinder Singh Route? I will be sending my documents on Tuesday without the documents about my british husband's evidences of exercising treaty rights in Cyprus as I already submitted it when I got my EE Family permit. You run the risk of the ...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

Hi jellybean, It was about 2 weeks in my situation, see the timeline below. The letter I received on 1/10 asked me to forward them my passport so that the vignette could be issued. I had previoussly asked for our passports to be returned for travel, etc. I spoke to someone at the HO, and I asked if ...

Re: Supporting docs for EEA2 application

I don't have it yet...just been told by the HO that they will be issuing it.

Again, I'd fill out all relevant info and supply all relevant supporting docs even though the form IMHO clearly states not to. The HO can't reject your application for giving them more info.

Re: Supporting docs for EEA2 application

Take a look at my thread reapply or reconsideration.

I would tick the box and fill out the section and supply them with any relevant supporting documents.

I'd write more, but I'm on my phone and it's all in the thread. Do a search for posts by me.

Re: EEA Family permit via Surinder Singh Northern ireland

You should be fine, there are currently "centre of life" rules as well, though it would seem you would have no issue proving centre of life. Take a look at the various stickies about surinder Singh and eea faqs, also take a look at my thread about dual Irish/uk and non eea. I was/am in a very simila...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

jellybean, I received a letter today, dated Sept 22 that says my application was reconsidered and that I will be issued with a RC. I sent my letter of reconsideration on the 16th of Sept, i think - check my other posts for an exact date. I was advised to email Linda Bateman at Linda.Bateman@homeoffi...

Received a letter in the post today from the Home Office saying that my application has been reconsidered ans that "you are going to be issued with a residence card" It asks me to forward them my passport so they can issue the vignette. Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

From what I understand applying for EEA2 is not compulsory, its just gonna help get a job. So I guess theres nothing to appeal, you are here legally and that it. Personally I would ask for a review of their decision and supply evidence of accomodation. This may or may not be helpful to the OP. The ...

Re: Reconsideration or Re-apply

Everyone I've talked to at the European enquiries centre claims all the evidence supplied with the original family permit application needed to be i...
