Re: First time passport for a baby (non-Irish EU parent)

It looks yo me that all the various proofs of residence are just examples and that you would only need to supply any of those examples, not all of them.

So I would think just the P60s would be enough.

Maybe give two different proofs per year just to be safe?

Re: GNIB Card and Airlines

I’m a US citizen. Ryanair always “visa check” me. On a recent flight from Ireland to Spain, the gate agent flipped through my passport as if looking for something. She was looking for a UK entry-denial or deportation stamp. My brother in law works for Ryanair, and they do that as part of a routine ...

Yeah, true. I wonder what makes a case straight forward or not? I’ve lived at the same address from day 1 in Ireland. Although I did live in England before, but also only at one address. I thought thAt made my case more straight forward. But then I suppose with regards to addresses, if you lived at ...

Car Insurance with International Driving Licence

I highly recommend xxx for expat auto insurance. I am resident in the UK for almost 2 years, and 11 months ago got my full UK license. I drove on my US license until I received my full UK license. Many insurers did not want to consider my 20 years driving experience. (Our previous insurer xxx did no...

Re: Questions related to driving and insurance in UK

I would highly recommend xxxxx. It's best to ring them and let them know your situation. They gave me a good rate. They acknowledged my driving experience from the US, I presume they would accept driving experience from elsewhere in the world. I have been resident in the UK about 2 years and got my ...

Permanent Residence

If permanent residence is automatically acquired after exercising free movement rights in the UK for a continuous period of 5 years, why do you need to apply for EEA4?

Is it similar to a residence card being optional in theory but actually required in order to prove your right work?

Casa,

If you have a 5 year EEA residence card and married to a UK citizen, is it not possible to skip applying for PR and apply directly for UK citizenship?
