Re: English language requirement for naturalisation

Thanks, Amber! prasadduddi, your query has already been answered on another thread. http://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/english-requirement-for-naturalisation-t158026.html#p993042 BE HAPPY (I love the name): 1.) You do not need a letter from NARIC for degree comparability if you hav...

I included mine too.

You can print on Page 15. It's not required to be handwritten.

If it's translated and has been previously accepted by UKBA, I do not see this to be an issue.

I am also confused with conflicting information from UKBA. In the Form AN and Guide AN, they haven't mentioned anything about PBS Calculator but in the link below it is mentioned that if the qualification is recongnized in PBC it is enough to show it as proof. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/brit...

Re: visa for my child

I assume your son was not living with you in the UK when you applied for ILR and Settlement and he wasn't joined in either application. He's not automatically entitled to a British passport because you are a British citizen. As Jambo said, he would need to live in the UK and meet certain requirement...

Is your father also resident in the UK or was he resident in the UK for 5 continuous years from 2004? Was he exercising his treaty rights during that time?

Query - Suspension of Candidature

My friend is a PhD student at a UK university and is sponsored by a UK charity. She enrolled in Sept 2012 and was making good progress. However, in August 2013, her mother was diagnosed with a terminal condition and the doctors estimated she would not survive 12 months. My friend discussed this with...

Re: Nationality Checking Service appointment booking

It really depends upon the volume and the office. I originally wanted to use the NCS closest to my work but as it was a month from the 28 Oct rule change, they were experiencing very high demand (even in September) for the service. I then went to the NCS close to home and they had heaps of availabil...

Re: Fees Clearance problem PLEASE ADVISE

That's strange. I would call the Home Office again and explain the situation as you set out above. If the money has left your account and appears cleared then it should be cleared and reconciled on their side especially if it's 10 days after it cleared and left your account. It sounds like an error ...

Congratulations! If her degree was taught in a country which is not considered English speaking then she'll either need a English Language Assessment from UK NARIC. She can also see if the PBS Calculator would award her degree 10 pts and if it does, print off the screen shot of this. The points based calculator http...

1.) She's an adult so she cannot apply with you. She must submit her own application. She needs to be physically in the UK 5 years before the date of application. 2.) Once again, she's an adult so her application is independent of yours (cf application with a spouse). She can apply in May 2015 when ...

Re: now EEA citizen, do 5 years as tier-1 count?

I wasn't clear about whether you'd been living and working here for the past 5 years or if it was just a 5 year period in the past (e.g. 2004-2009) I think you'd need to exercise your treaty rights as an EEA national in the UK for 5 years before gaining permanent residency through that route. Or you...

As CR001 confirmed, she can just tell them she passed it, no longer has it and to request they look it up on their system. As you know, they have a copy of this on file - as you saw with your own file. I assume they ask for the original to be submitted again so the complete application is in front o...

Re: What should be mentioned in Occupation for temporary wor

Her occupation is whatever her job title is at her job. The Home Office isn't concerned with the type of contract (e.g. casual, permanent, full-time, etc.). You just need to disclose what she does for a living/her occupation.

They are signing that they have known you for 3 years. If they sign the form and provide false information then they risk criminal penalties (e.g. fine and imprisonment).

I found the NCS person I dealt with was very knowledgeable and what she didn't know, she asked UKBA. That being said, it sounds like this person is told what to tell people to bring. She might not be the NCS person who checks your application. So, book the appointment and show up with the documents ...
