Re: After Biometrics MN1 Application

I disagree with some of the replies on this post. If you have not got an email from UVI with the Case ID and there are other signs such as the UKVCAS account still being active and the documents section still being active something is amiss. It would not be wrong of you to reach out to UKVI (call ce...

Re: MN1 v/s ILR

For you not much difference as the kids were born in India so they have always had UK citizenship as the second one and will have to declare prior citizenships for their whole life. Definetely go for the economically viable route. MN1 gives the children full british nationality and they do not need ...

Re: Cancel wife's british citizenship after divorce

Like others have said - let it go, vindictiveness will only make things sour or hateful for you.

I can understand exactly what you are going through but in a divorce it is just better to settle matters and go your own way instead of putting each other down.

Re: Cancel wife's british citizenship after divorce

If she got ILR through you then you could report your concerns. But it is unlikely they will take real action unless you have any substantial proof.... because to them you are the bitter ex who might want to take revege based on your doubts?

So my friends after 6 long years the time is here now to apply for BC through Naturalisation, I obtained ILR after 5 years of continous stay in UK under Tier 2 (General). Yes under the ILR eligibility guidance for calculating Continuous residency it clearly states if you pursue employment outside UK your continuous residency should be considered broken.

If you were working outside UK you might find yourself unable to be eligible for ILR...

Re: Tier 2 - 6 months ILR eligibility

No you will have to keep living in the UK.
at the border they will want to know if your circumstances have changed and if you are still employed with the same employer. If your circumstances have changed your visa could be curtailed on entry.

Re: Tier 2 - 6 months ILR eligibility

Yes if you travel personally or on business it should show you have not left the country. Your employer will still need to issue the letter that they still need you with confirmation of SOC code etc. for you to apply for ILR.

Re: MN1 application questions

If you lie on the form and the child is found out later you might render them "Stateless" as their british citizenship could be considered as being obtained fraudulently and without stating the truth on the application form. Why put incorrect facts be honest and disclose everything on the applicatio...

Re: Can we amend Referee Detail after Paying fees for online British Citizenship applicaiton?

You can upload any documents before your appointment. OP still has to attend the appointment. I do not think it was clear whether OP has yet to attend the appointment or it has happened already, I did try re-read the thread again but found nothing. If appointment date is in the future then the appr...

Re: Can we amend Referee Detail after Paying fees for online British Citizenship applicaiton?

I said to give correct details when applying and from what I hear from a Sopa Steria employee who worked on the platform is that a data transfer is performed to HO when applications is made and documents are validated at the service center. Just because they upload stuff after the appointment date d...

My personal feel is do not do anything... if HO is not satisfied with your referees they will write to you to provide updated referees.

Re: Spouse visa - Employer is refusing to issue an employer letter

For anyone else facing this challenge the employer now has to comply with GDPR requests and have to issue you all true copies of documents / information they hold about you. Highly likely the GDPR data request will come with a letter, just submit the whole pack which shows the letter showing the inf...

Form MN1 - Unable to find referees

Hi folks, Trying to get the MN1 form for my daughter completed. The guidance says one of the referees must have known the child professionally but the GP and health visitor refuse to sign the form and I do not send them to a nursery or have a child minder. What options do I have? Can i get a solicit...

I can't find what your or your spouse's nationality is in any of your previous posts. Useful to state this information if asking for advice. Apologies missed that out completely.. Re: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED :HO Decison - Change from 5 year to 10 year partner route while A2 certificate missing

Btw the BRP has to be extended every 5 years and you need to pay for it... so i dont understand why you are worried about spending money every few years for ILR granted under SET(LR). Especially when you can apply for a passport after 5+1 years of residency in UK. Why do you state a BRP is valid fo...

Re: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED :HO Decison - Change from 5 year to 10 year partner route while A2 certificate missing

There is no obligation for them to accept new documents after you submit the application. If you read the rules the case work can apply "discretion" and they do not have to come back and ask you for missing documents. The return document service says you might have to cancel your application if you ...
