Re: applying for newborn passort

well, it is what confusing me.

if I am British citizen, why not ask for my passport..why do they need Naturaisation certs.

the list given from which one is supposed to selected, seems to aim at my wife, not me..

hence why I wanted to confirm from someone who may have gone through this..

Re: Uk Dual Citizenship

Works the same for us who are South African. Exit and enter the UK on British passports, but presenting SA passport on departure from UK and presenting UK passport in SA on departure very interesting..so the landing and exit stamp need not be on the same passport? In this case, when you land in SA,...

If they had spent the 6 months and leave UK, is there a cooling off period only after which they can re-enter UK. Asking because, they might have to visi...

Re: British Citizenship vs ILR

I understand all of the above, but my question was not about UK citizenship, rather resuming citizenship of the origin country. Let me explain. So, Country Of Origin (CoO) passport expires, and you only have British passport, then when you visit your CoO, you are treated like any other Birtish Citiz...

Re: British Citizenship vs ILR

thanks guys, may be I am overthinking.. I just thought when dual citizenship costs large sums, if people are able to use multiple passports at a fraction of a cost, it defeats the purpose of such arduous dual citizenship process and the higher sums involved. But, your thoughts puts my mind at ease t...

if country X has an expensive dual citizenship program, they will surely take a dim view of those using dual passports instead? or am I missing something here?

Re: British Citizenship vs ILR

i was just thinking why then the point of dual citizenship if people can use two passports.. So, lets say country X has dual citizenship scheme and applying for it costs a lot of time and money. and national from country X requires visa to enter UK. so when such national visits the country X, they w...

Re: British Citizenship vs ILR

thanks a lot for the answers...

looks like one could at least once use CoO passport while having a British passport without breaking laws..

The thing is, if the CoO has a dual citizenship, might take a dim view of people using two passports..

Re: British Citizenship vs ILR

I understand British Citizenship and British Passport is not the same thing. But question is why somebody would do naturalising (becoming British Citizen), but not apply for British passport? Only reason I could think of it, not willing to lose their previous passport, but how would country of origi...

Re: Passport Pages and Stamps

thanks Simon.

Think some part of this guidance may be outdated, as applications for HOTD are now made online and not on forms.

but the information is very clear and concise !

Visit Visa, dates in application form and actual travel dates

Hi, I applied for my parents visit visa for 5 yrs and got it, but my parents will only visit quiet late than what they mentioned in the application form. Re: Visit Visa - Refusal

interesting case..I think the reason for refusal is more than the fact there had been inconsistencies between current application and that of 2013. does your GM have any assets in her name? howz her bank balance? You need to be able to show that she has strong roots in Pakistan. also explain in the ...
