Re: Good character for non EU spouse

Hello Amber - please could you explain whether the period of living together would count as the EU spouse was exercising treaty rights so technically they would have been durable partners at that stage. Would that count to help to legalise the ten year period (2010-2020)?

Re: Good character for non EU spouse

Also the nov 2011 application appears to have been refused incorrectly. Ukba called the employer who stated she wasn’t returning to work after maternity when in fact she was so RC was granted after resubmitting the same documents in April 2012

Re: Procedure for child British passport

Thanks secret.simon

He was married but they cannot locate the marriage certificate which is somewhere back in Albania. They did not regard it as too important.
He was going to do a DNA paternity test just to safe guard himself. Would this not be sufficient?

Children born abroad will only qualify to apply for citizenship when either parent is also applying (or is already British) and the other parent holds ILR.
Thank you CR001
so just to be clear - they can apply now? No need to wait for 5 years? The father is already British and mother has ILR.

Re: Children's registration application

The children have ILR which they were granted at the same time as the mother but the parents cannot afford to pay for naturalisation for all applicants at the same time. The children will be 18 years soon and so they are priority to be registered but they are not sure if they can do it without the m...

Children's registration application

Good morning forum

Please could someone please confirm if the 3-year rule for the spouse to apply for naturalisation applies to the children if the spouse is not applying at the same time?

Can the children apply after 3 years instead of waiting for 5 years?

Your friend's husband should contact the local LITUK test centre. Some of them have facilities for people with disabilities, such as blindness. Therefore your friend's husband would be able to interact with the computer without necessarily using a screen.

I've managed to locate the link Casa thanks but does it apply to the adult British citizen because it only makes reference to the 'relevant EEA citizen' that has died.

Zambrano - adult Britishcitizen dies

Can anyone tell me what happens to the primary carer who holds a Derivative Residence Card for caring for an adult British citizen but the British citizen has died.

Is there any avenue for the primary carer to apply for pre settled status or anything else?
