Backtracking Child Benefit - unsuccessful

Hi Amber

Post my ILR, I made an application for CB with an expectation that it would be backtracked for the whole 3 months.

However, tax office has only accepted to pay out for 4 weeks as they claim it's based on when I received my ILR. Is this ruling correct as I assumed otherwise?

I know the form says they shouldn't be but after a bit of a struggle, I have found two referees (one professional) although they are husband / wife Would it be an issue for a 4 month old baby's BC registration application? Healthcare visitor and GP are reluctant as experienced by a number of ppl her...

I can't start this post by thanking enough to all of the moderators (especially Amber and CR001) and others for all their help in my run up to this moment which was I should say although was a straight forward application, was a source of worry given the amount of money involved I applied using the ...

Re: PBS Dependant extension after ILR

The only doc I could identify before / after this post is a 90 day bank statement. Is that (along with completed form + passports / BRP) all that is required for a PBS extension? As I am planning for a postal application, I just want to make sure I haven't missed anything based in which they can rej...

Re: Premium Appointment Query?

Hi CR001 I noticed on quite a few previous threads that the advice given in this instance would be that one applies via the other main applicant option I just booked my appt 2 days ago using the above option and I also am on Tier 1 general. If your above advice is the option to choose, does that mea...

Re: Tax Credits - what is this and who is eligible?

Hi Amber - I am aware of who can claim it. My question is what is it and who usually qualifies for it. Eg: is it for people below a certain income level or similar

Re: MN1...British Passport...Indian Visa - What is the journ

Hi Akash - really appreciate your reply. So at what stages from MN1 application to PIO process does my passport have to go with our child's application?

Would you know what our child would missing out without OCI. I haven't come across PIO that much - does it offer the same set of rights / benefits?

Is the 28 day minimum time period still valid

Hi Moderators My 5 years towards ILR will be completed by 30th July 2014. I've heard previously about a 28 day rule as the earliest time period before booking an appt which in my case will make me eligible to apply a PEO appt by 2nd July Simple question - have I got this right? Is this rule still va...

Re: New Immigration Fees Proposed From 6 April 2014

Hi everyone - I checked with the home office yesterday and they advised that given in my case it's two separate applications (ILR + PBS dependant), there is no cost benefit even if it's done on the same day. I hope this info helps others as well Given PBS dependant PEO is £2007, how I wish like the ...

Re: New Immigration Fees Proposed From 6 April 2014

Thanks a lot Amber for confirming that. On that point, can I also ask, is it any cheaper making an application together or is it the same?

I ask this because technically, I am eligible to apply from July whilst my wife can only apply in Sept

Kindly advise
