Hi

Generally if you are on a work permit with the same employer the latest P60 is enough but it is entirely at the discretion of the case worker and they could ask you for them. But generally they don't. Make sure you take as many pay slips with you as you can. Also you can get a duplicate P60 from you...

Hi

Thank you! I shall do that then... :-)

Do I need to write a cover letter even if I have an appointment with the PEO? I wasn't going to write one... thought it was only meant for postal applications.

Hi

Its not always that I put cash in with the cheque... Just a few months here and there but it is there in the latest statement that I will have to show the home office. I can get a employer letter done with all that information in, I think... but dont know if that is going to help or not. I wonder if...

Hi

Very stupid of me.... the bank asked me if I want it as a single entry or separate and i said make it single and so it shows up as cash+my pay cheque.

I feel like kicking myself for doing this...

Is this a problem and can I do something about this now?

Payslips do not match bank statements - HELP!

Is this a problem? I am paid by cheque by my employer (I pay all my taxes and it shows on my payslips). What I did is when I used to put the cheque into my bank I used to deposit some money with it too and it shows as a total amount on the bank statement (some little cash+salary). No dodgy business,...

Hi

Yeah what a coincidence! I have been worried sick about this as well. My solicitor says it is entirely on the discretion of the case worker and we just have to keep our fingers crossed. Also on the other forum someone told me to write this in the cover letter explaining that the first 2 years you to...

Hi

Thank you this information means a lot to me! So the home office are not fussed if I was paid less in the first 3 years or so because I took unpaid leave? Should I only hand in the last 2 P60s or give them everything as they are not bothered about the amount anyway?

Issue with P60 and salary - Please Help!!

I will be applying for ILR based on a 5 year work permit (with one employer) next month and the problem I face is that in the first 2 years I took unpaid leave and because I was not paid for those days the salary that shows up on those P60s is less than what was stated on the initial WP application ...

ILR Question - I Took A Long Holiday

I got my work permit in March 2005 and will be eligible for ILR in Feb 2010. My concern is that I took 63 days leave (One in June, then another in December) in 2005. Will this create a problem for me when I apply for ILR? Out of these 63 days only 27 days was paid leave and the rest was unpaid leave.

Question

Should I wait till I get my ILR and declare my marriage or does it have no effect what so ever when I apply for my ILR. My husband is on HSMP and is not dependent on me. When I apply it will be on my own so will marriage make any difference to my application?

Hi

Vinnie why does he need a work permit dependant entry clearance when he has been working in the UK for the past 1 year on HSMP? Is it better just to apply for ILR on my own as it might be risky him converting as my dependent and if I get refused ILR then he also loses his stay here. But if he stays ...

Hi

Section 9 only states passport, evidence of finances, other documents and employer letter for a work permit holder. Nothing else with regards to P60 or payslips is asked for. That is the reason why I wanted to know what they mean by "Other Documents"?!!

ILR - Can me & my partner apply together?

I will be applying for ILR in Feb 2010 having been on a work permit for 5 years by then. My partner (we are getting married in October this year) is on HSMP and has been on it for only a few months.
