What should I do? Confused...

Can anyone help me on this? I will be applying for ILR in Feb 2010 based on my 5 year work permit with one employer. I just got married and my husband is on HSMP since 1 year. My marriage was done the traditional way and is not registered here in UK as we need to apply for a certificate of approval ...

Hi

Section 9 only states passport, evidence of finances, other documents and employer letter for a work permit holder. Nothing else with regards to P60 or payslips is asked for. That is the reason why I wanted to know what they mean by "Other Documents"?!!

ILR - Question About Documents

I will be completing 5 years on my work permit soon to apply for ILR. What documents do I need to show? I went through the Set(O) form and it says I need to show "Other Documents" to prove that I have been resident here for 5 years... what are these documents?

Question About ILR - Going to get married

I will be eligible to apply for ILR in Feb 2010 but I'm getting married to a HSMP holder in October this year. Will being married affect my ILR application in any way? (It is only me who will be applying for ILR as he has been on HSMP only for 9 months.)

Hi

I heard that the scheme comes out in January 2009 but it will be implemented only late 2009. What I do not know is that when should a person start voluntary work.. do they want to see a full 5 years of voluntary work or just for a year after a person has been granted probationary citizenship?

Hi

When does one have to start voluntary work? Is it after one has been granted probationary citizenship (which is after 5 years)? or do you show them voluntary work for the whole of 5 years?

Probationary Citizenship - Question About Voluntary Work

I got my work permit in March 2005 and will be eligible to apply for ILR/probationary citizenship in February 2010 by which time I will most certainly be under the new rules of earning my citizenship. These rules come out late 2009 and I will have only a few months to act upon them. So does that mea...

Hi

I wrote to the home office and they said this is in their own words... "The amount of salary you receive does not affect your current work permit and we do not need to be informed of this as there has been no change to your job role or responsibilities." So you needn't bother with informing them of ...

Hi

From what I have gathered if the pay stated on the application form is higher than what you have been paid then this can be a problem (totally on the discretion of the case worker). They could say that this is deception. Your company needs to come up with a genuine reason for doing this.

Hi

I am on a 5 year work permit and have only been working with 1 employer and have had continuous employment. So does that mean that I do not have to show economic activity? Would showing my finances and pay slips for say 6 months be sufficient?

Hi

But on the other hand it is only under 9K:Tier 1 - (General Migrant) category that it says you need to show economic activity. Under the 9B:Work Permit Holder category it only says show evidence of your finances (bank st, payslips) for atleast 3 months and an employer letter. Very confusing if you a...

Hi

What is the difference between a Tier 1 (General Migrant) and a work permit holder? Because a Tier 1 (General Migrant) needs to show economic activity for the last 5 years but a work permit holder doesn't??!!! I am so confused with this... please someone reply!

Hi

No one answered but I have found the answer to this on another post. Incase any one needs to know.. we DO need to show them 5 years of payslips and P60's and bank statements to show our economic activity.
If anyone knows anything else abt this then do let me know!

Oops..

Sorry Republique... Just saw the form and it clearly says that we need to show evidence of economic activity since the time we were granted leave to remain.. that means we need to show pay-slips, bank st. and P60's for the whole of 5 years! I better get my act together then to get this sorted out! T...

Hi

Republique they have not mentioned anywhere on the Set(O) form that they need to see 5 years of economic activity on applying for ILR based on a work permit. It is only on an HSMP that they need all that information. This is what I inferred when I read the form and guide. What do you think? Am I mis...

What documents are you submitting for the ILR? Do you have to supply 5 years of P60/pay-slips? or will the last 3 months suffice?
