Re: Still waiting for a decision.....

Hi all. My partners settlement visa application was put on hold on 18.5.17 in Lima, Peru - Supreme Court ruling email. His biometrics and documents were submitted 5.5.17 & priority service paid. Heard nothing since. Have emailed the HO for an update and have been told "it's awaiting a decision, but ...

Ish, I got the exact same reply. My partner received tbe Supreme Court on hold email on 18.5.17. Last week I paid for an email update and was told the exact same. Not sure what to make of it tbh.

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

I'm the sponsor and I'm in the north east of England. My partner applied in April, did his interview may 5th and recieved the Supreme Court on hold email may 18th. I've had nothing since. Yesterday I paid (begrudgingly) for an email and I got an almost instant response saying "your application has b...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

I don't know if my local MP would look in to my case as it's only been 5 weeks since my partner has his visa interview. I am tempted to email him though just to see if he can chase up answers as to why the hold and when we might start hearing back. If the minimum income was to change, there is Surel...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

Maybe we should have a mini timeline for all those that got the hold email. Here's mine: Case not straightforward email: YES on-hold email: NO Supreme court judgement email: NO Reasons you think contribute to delay: Husband had some trouble with the law and has a criminal record in his name even th...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

My partner has only received the on hold email. I believe I meet the financial requirement - income £15,000 and savings of £35,000 - meaning my income Around £22k. I'm wondering if I've got the pause email because the HO are looking into the savings aspect. However, it clearly states you can use sa...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

I just tried to call the embassy on the outside of the UK number for an update...they are now charging a flat rate of £20 per call. TWENTY POUNDS! That is outrageous! Those responsible for this mess up have a lot to answer for!

Anyone outside of the UK had a decision recently?

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

What I don't understand is that they can't deny us, because we do meet the income requirement. And surely they'd have just straight up denied when they looked into it. I don't believe it's anything to do with the court ruling as to why they're holding up applications because it doesn't make sense. ...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

Just looking for a bit of clarity here - why have they paused applications that don't meet the financial requirements? Surely they should have just denied them? What happened with the court ruling in February that means they're not straight up denying? I didn't meet the income via my job alone, but ...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

You also could call 0300 123 2241 option 2 from inside the Uk to speak to someone about the application. I tried to call today and they've stopped that number from working "while they make changes" This is absolutely ridiculous!

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

Also, how long can they legally hold an application before making a decision? I've read anything from 24-30 weeks, which is a very long time for them to keep a passport.

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

Im confused on this situation. Is there a pause on ALL applications? And do we know when this pause may be lifted? My partner is Peruvian, we applied in April via the priority service and put his expected arrival into the UK as 1st June but this obviously isn't going to happen with this pause in pla...

Re: uk spouse visa on hold :(

My fiancé applied via the priority service in April, had his appointment at the embassy in Lima 3rd may, then received this email last Friday. This is so upsetting and I don't think they realise how much it's playing with people's lives. I don't understand what or how long we are waiting for. And the...

Timescale for priority service

Hi. Does anyone know roughly what the timescales for the priority service are when applying from Peru? Is it from the date of application or the date of the visa appointment? Also, i know to expect delays if you've had an application denied before - does anyone know how long we are talking here. Tha...
