Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

After doing a bit of reading, the emergency brake is applied only to newcomers with David Cameron emphasysing that. Also the child benefit payments will start getting indexed in 2020. There is no mention about the no eu thingy but am assuming in this case it should be applied to new comers

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

Every memberis speculating as there is nothing concrete and in turn its confusing. If we go back to the drawing board, basically they mentioned new restriction on third country nationals in eu to prevent sham marriages. Fair enough and insupport that, but will there be a blanket restriction m, be it...

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

Thanks, crunchycracker, for your detailed explanations. However, I still am not sure I get this right: if an EU national residing in the UK marries a non-EU who never set foot in Europe (let's say marries them in a country outside EU) and then the EU national brings them on a family permit to the U...

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

BUT if the law comes into place say in June after a YES vote, do you think it will apply for people already taking the EEA route at present (ie on their EEA2s, awaiting EEA4s)? Shouldnt this law be applied to people entering the UK after implementing the law? So for example newcomers on a family eea...

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

They surely just cant turn around and say goodbye 2 years before we can apply for another eea4. People have settled in th...

Thanks.
am more concerned about the nature of employment. Its not a permanent post, its rather more like a zero hour contract.
