generally these have A/C payee cross printed on them if the bank that you are using does not do it by default then ask them to cross them while you will request for the draft.

Tier1 (general) route is closed now and only extension of existing Tier 1(general) is allowed. So you cannot switch to Tier 1(general) from PSW.
