Re: Dependant Fee

You don't have to worry about converting the money at the 'right exchange rate'. VFS uses the consular rate of exchange, which is currently at INR70/1GBP. The fees for a T1 Dependent would be Rs.48,300 http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/visafees.aspx Kala Hi, I am lodging my wife's Tier1 dependent application...

Hi Anil, Yes, it has been announced that T1(G) applicants will need 80 points to qualify from 19th July onwards. Please see below an excerpt from the ministerial statement announcing this change. Firstly, I am introducing an interim limit on the number of out of country main applicants to Tier 1 (Ge...

As seen in May's statement below, the '5400' cap for Tier 1 applicants has been set flat from the number of T1(G) visas issued in the corresponding period (Jul-Apr) for 2009. So, IMHO, this cap *should* remain unfilled for 3-4 months at least..again, just my 2c Kala Firstly, I am introducing an inte...

IMO (just as per how the Apr 6, 2010 PBS changes were implemented), the 80 points requirement would apply for all applications being submitted on & after 19th July 2010. Also, from what I could gather from the ministerial statement, the 5 point increase would be in the overall score. Kala Where will...

Re: Immigration Cap

From what I can gather from the ministerial statement, it says that this would be applicable from 19th July, so your application shouldn't come under the cap. Kala I am planning to migrate from Tier 2 to Tier 1. I have already submitted my Tier 1 application on June 18th 2010. - Will my application ...

Sorry, my question wasn't clear.

I meant to ask if you had shown any proof of accommodation arrangements in the UK (for you & dependent) along with your application.

Do I need to add spouse name in passport before applying?

Hi,

I'm going to apply for a Tier 1 (G) visa in May from Bangalore with my husband as a dependent. We got married just a few months back. Would it be necessary to add husband/wife name in both our passports before applying?

Thanks,
