I don't know that...but if you have got your tax history from HMRC then that should give you a clearer picture for you to make the determination in your application.

Re: ILR - Need your help

Hi Jacob123 Here is what I believe the answers are for some of your queries - 3. Section 6.1 - You should mark the date of your first entry on Tier 1 visa if thats what you are going to base your ILR application on. I don't believe it matters if you had been in the country before that as you are not...

Re: ILR Refused 322 (2)

@mian1
Just call up HMRC and request your employment history if you have been working as a full time employee or ask for SA302 if you have filed Self Assessment in the past.

You would get it in 5 to 10 working days by post. I got my SA302 and PAYE within 7 working days

Best wishes!

Re: Passport Stamps / E-Tickets conundrum

the_searcher one last post on this from me - You were clearly away from UK on the said date. If I were you, I would simply mention the dates in the entry and exit column and leave it at that. Given that you have no proof of the date of entry in HK, then there is nothing you can do about it. There is...

Re: ILR Success at PSC - Limited Company Director

@ILRapplicant101 If I were in your boots, then I would simply answer "yes" to question #9 in the ILR Questionnaire and leave it at that. Should the CW ask for clarification on the £200 odd difference then I would have a short and precise answer prepared for that. Something on the lines of - yes, the...

Re: regarding ILR

Vishal123 I am not quite certain in submitting SA302 is a must but I did carry them with me. But submitted them only because of that questionnaire. I just finished checking the documents that were returned back to me and found both the original and photocopy of my SA302 documents. While they have re...

Re: Passport Stamps / E-Tickets conundrum

NOajthan must be right. Because, I didn't submit my old passport with the entry and exit stamps for my absences and they must have other mechanism to check it even without me providing any support for them. Anyway, so long as we don't lie about our time away from the country I seriously doubt they w...

Re: ILR Success at PSC - Limited Company Director

Amit That should be good enough if you have the relevant HMRC documents. Don't worry about mentioning closure of your company or anything. I had closed my limited company too but HO is not interested in that. HMRC is the authority on taxes in UK and if they have given a clean chit then HO would play...

Re: Passport Stamps / E-Tickets conundrum

Why would they want to check on the purpose of your travel if you haven't breached the overall conditions imposed? Ask the question this way, if someone had been out of UK for only 50 days or 180 days over 5 years - why would HO bother about that? What difference does it make to them as to the reaso...

Re: Passport Stamps / E-Tickets conundrum

@The_Searcher I was worried about proving my exits and entries and in the end all I showed them was simply the dates with a "personal" or "work related" comment. I didn't make any distinction between holiday, medical or anything nor I attached proof of my travel or stamps in passport. I doubt the HO...

Re: ILR Success at PSC - Limited Company Director

Amit I was in a quandary over this as well and initially I ticked the column against self-employed and then thought about it. Requested a new form from the reception and simply checked the years for which I had the SA record from HMRC while leaving the box against Self-Employed blank. I don't know i...

Re: ILR Success at PSC - Limited Company Director

Hi Adeel 6.1 - I used October 2010 only and didn't mention about June 2009. It was irrelevant for the application purposes 6.2 - because I didn't even mention June 2009 there was no need to provide justification for the gap Dividend Vouchers - Yes, they were stamped by my accountant. I used to withd...

Re: ILR Success at PSC - Limited Company Director

@ILRApplicant101 The question as I have provided is exactly how it appeared on the ILR questionnaire. The intent is to get your declaration that you had presented your income earned through "self-employment" accurately to HMRC. I guess the trap is - if figures in HMRC are correct then they can make ...

Re: SET(O) FORM PLEASE HELP

Vishal here is copy and paste of my letter to support my absences - Dear Sir/Madam In the 5 years starting from October 2010 until October 2015, I have been out of the UK for a cumulative total of xxx days. Most of these trips were of a personal nature interspersed with short trips relating to work....

Re: SET(O) FORM PLEASE HELP

Vishal123 Based on my experience, if your cumulative total is less than what is allowed. Then simply state that and don't try to explain. Everyone knows that there are situations where you have to travel. I simply all my entries and exits with a simple "Personal" or "Work related". I didn't present ...

ILR Questionnaire at PSC for Limited Company Directors

@AML2015 Based on my personal experience today at the PSC, I believe you would be able to get your ILR in AR itself.
