Thank you!!! Yes, I see what you mean. So, even if they treat it as conviction, in Good Character requirements there is written that they ignore one minor conviction. So when I first saw new rules I was worried that they will cancel it but it looks like they would not cancel Good Character rules bec...

Road Traffic Act Section 3, £200 fine. What is this written under / against? Criminal Record / Unspent conviction / fines / offences / or something else? Just because a fine for a motoring offence is recorded in a PNC check does not make it a "criminal record". I wonder then should I declare it on ...

Road Traffic Act is written in Offence field.

Offence: Road Traffic Act, Section 3

Under Convictions heading. Between Court and Disposal.

(Sorry wrote 2 similar replies because did not correctly understood question at first and then edited both replies to correct answer).

Road Traffic is written where Offence is. And all that written under "Convictions" heading. Like that. Not criminal convictions, just one word "Convictions". Then there is Date, Court, Offence and Disposal. Court: Stirling Sheriff Offence: Road Traffic Act Section 3 In Disposal it is written: CHG(S)...

Thanks so much for the reply. I know, I read forum a lot. But I worry that new rules which came today would make it a problem. They would not?

Yes I checked through Disclosure Scotland and it is there. It s written there Road Traffic Act Section 3, £200 fine. I hoped that Home Office would ignore it because it does not constitute "recklessness". And I don't have anything else. And now I worry that new rules would remove it when they allowe...

That's the same question I have on my mind. Will there still be discretion for one minor offence as it was before?

But if you could have a look at it tomorrow and kindly r...

So, if a UK citizen receives fine from court, then it will be spent in 1 year time. But if an immigrant receives the same fine, then he will be considered to be good enough for leave to remain only after 2 years time? Even if he/she lived here for years and years and it was one minor traffic offence...

Sorry, did not notice your quoted rules.

So, does it mean that if there is traffic conviction by court, then it will delay application for ILR for two years?

Hello New immigration rules published today http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/2012/november/35-rules It would be great if one of Gurus could have a look and clarify it because a lot of people must be very interested in it. I am not solicitor, so maybe I got it all wrong? I s...

I am not solicitor, so double check it. But as far as I understand ILR will be removed if she will be out of UK for 2 years non-stop. If you visit UK during this time, she will have airport stamps in passport that she was here and ILR should be Ok. I am not solicitor, but this was always my underst...

My view is that it does not look good. This visa is designed that you're supposed to run business. Not somebody else. At least you could be partner in business. It looks like you can be banned from UK for 10 years. If UKBA is very kind, they may remove this but on the other hand it looks like it was...

Well, I agree that the service could be improved. However, I found UKBA service not so bad. I applied for 6 visas in this country. Sometimes it is frustrating but overall I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. It could be worse, considering this service is mainly not for UK citizens. I think the proble...
