I believe the time you left Ireland, relates to when you got your citizenship and left.

I do not believe that period that predates citizenship are relevant

Re: recoknable residence

The law is that in the last 4 years prior to naturalisation, you should have a total of 3 years residence in the state. The final year should be contiuous residence. But you are then allowed to chose any 2 years in the 4 years preceding the naturalisation application. You certainly cannot choose 201...

Re: recoknable residence

The years do not need to be continuous. Do you mean he can use: Bank statement dated in 2011 Bank statement dated 2014 Bank statement dated 2020 Is that correct? I did not say that at all, the OP never gave those dates. If he had given those dates, he would not have received that response from me.

Re: Options Other than EU3 on (WAB IRP Card / Stamp4 Eufam)

I agree with Raja, that EU 1 for joining family members, but you cannot renew it. You go for PR after you complete the period. If the British citizen ends exercising treaty rights before 5 year, then a British person cannot re-establish rights under the agreement.

I can see that this is one of the beneficial reasons for the regional office, as this problem only applies to Dublin people.

Re: EU3 Timeline for Non-Eu family Members of British Citizens

You are not the only one experiencing problems with Cork. I know 3 people with same problem, when complaint was made, they were told it was unnecessary, as the minister has extended visas till may, really cant understand this care free approach. People on ten years, should just consider citizenship....

Re: EU3 Timeline for Non-Eu family Members of British Citizens

The fact a person has a temporary stamp 4, does not prevent them from getting a visa consistent with the validity of their passport. I remember applying for a close relative of mine who was a month in her 6 month temporary stamp 4, when the minister approved her residence card application. She recei...

Re: EU3 Timeline for Non-Eu family Members of British Citizens

In Cork there is a serious problem with appointment, but Meath and Cavan, they are pretty quick. The appointment is a different matter from the wrong date on card, which is a problem associated with Dublin applicant. The validity of the card is consistent with passport validity, but for kids, this i...

Re: EU3 Timeline for Non-Eu family Members of British Citizens

I guess you have seen it. How can it be differenciated between residence documents if they both have standard words. I also asked the department why they require family members to accompany EU national to station, an official at the EU treaty rights simply said, it is out of our remit, it is open to...

An application can still be made for late applicant, provided the delay in applying can be explained.

The treaty provides for late late applications with reasons.

I do not like the system, as it is so inflexible, i know people of independent means who have been residing in the state for several years, leaving with family members, so unable to get some of those documents. The state should show flexibility, if a person says we have been residing in the state, t...
