do you wanna try french embassy if u r going by car I applied through them may be 2 yrs ago and got for 1 yr straight away. Bear in mind I have had residence certificate for family member of eea national. I again applied in german embassy but got only for 3 months 90 days.

I don't think refusal is related to any race religion etc bullshit. I have had no problems in applying for the UK permitts nor I have problems in applying the Schengen visa. They should have suspect something otherwise they won't be turning down your application. don't relate these things with race....
