strange differentiation @ airport

The signs differentiated between: Non-EU-Nationals EU-nationals Extra Schengen EU-nationals Intra Schengen https://dl.dropbox.com/u/35129465/Forum_Posts/pp_corfu1.jpg I never saw this before, and I guess this is -simply- wrong, as...

Re: Schengen visa

Basically I submitted my application to France yesterday when all documents were checked by the TLScontact agent. This morning I got an email from TLScontact saying that the Consulate now asks me to send a letter from school. Which was very weird because I am working and had already submitted an em...

Since you are applying for a visa where the foreseen validity should start after the old visa expires, you can already apply for the visa now.

In all cases you should check if you need an appointment for the application, as otherwise things might get a bit tight between your travels.

One last question - we've kinda messed up and booked flights back to Germany with only a day left on her 90-day Schengen allowance. Will it be a problem for her to enter the country like this? I imagine we can show our marriage certificate to the border authorities and we'll be allowed in without a...

Hi bluecole2, unfortunately the Schengen-system is very crude. As an EEA-family-member you can, but do not have to, apply for a visa. If you do apply for a visa for travelling together with your EEA-partner, the issued visa will look exactly the same as any other visa, as they don´t have a special k...

You may travel without visa, and it´s described here: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=95372 If you want a visa anyway, a general explication on how to get a visa is given here: http://www.immigrationboards.co...

Re: Spouse of British Citizen -schengen visa procedure

Legally she doesn´t need a visa, however if you want to be 100% sure to travel you should get it anyway.

UKBA may not ask any EU citizen "where have you travelled from" :!: I´m not saying that because I have something to hide, but because they´re not allowed to. I wouldn´t mind answering such questions, if there was a clear law allowing them to do so. But there isn´t, and as such I wouldn´t answer it. ...

I took the liberty to ask the same 10/20 question in the German equivalent board, and they are having a happy discussion around this.

article 10 vs. article 20

Thanks to an email from another member, I was made aware of the following severe technical problem/fault in 2004/38/EC: As discussed >>here<< (Part 1), family members of EEA-nationals may travel within the EEA, as long as they are in "possession of the valid residence card referred to in Article 10"...
