Hi Richard66,

I took the liberty to ask the same 10/20 question in the German equivalent board, and they are having a happy discussion around this.

Pretty unreal.

http://www.bmeia.gv.at/en/embassy/london/practical-advice/schengen-visa-residence-permits.html Today (July 03rd) they offer the earliest appointment on 23/July/2012, which is illegal. I sent the following email to the German Embassy in Shanghai, and subsequently they -indirectly- offered me an earl...

The >>CTA<< isn´t worth the paper its regulations are printed on. See also my >>complaint to the EU<< , which ended with nothing. It´s safer to consider journeys betwenn UK/IRL/IoM/Guernsey/Jersey as usual, controlled, international travel, including routine passport checks. The fact that they somet...

article 10 vs. article 20

Thanks to an email from another member, I was made aware of the following severe technical problem/fault in 2004/38/EC: As discussed >>here<< (Part 1), family members of EEA-nationals may travel within the EEA, as long as they are in "possession of the valid residence card referred to in Article 10"...

In the UK you are not obliged to have a passport, so nothing to worry about. If you want to travel this might be a problem. You can try to get a "travel document for refugees", which can be used for travel. But I don´t know the details about how these work. Are the Iranians well enough organised to ...

Re: EEA residence card

Hi juulye62, yes, that is a big problem. Without the passport you cannot travel, and depending on where you are resident it is even illegal to be without a valid passport. In either case I would suggest to get a new passport ASAP, as it may be too late to obtain one should you suddenly need it. If y...

Yes it's from the website I´m searching for the appointment system on their website, but cannot find it?! In simple term, what do you mean by appointments have to be available for EVERYONE within 2 weeks (=14 days), and for EEA-family members the 2 weeks have to be "accelerated Does this mean I hav...

Re: Schengen Visa for EEA family

Hi bluecole2, how do you know that they have appointments (only) in 18 days? Phone, their website...? This is clearly illegal, appointments have to be available for EVERYONE within 2 weeks (=14 days), and for EEA-family members the 2 weeks have to be "accelerated", so if 18 days is correct, it´s sim...

...would you still apply for a schengen via, or just risk it???... That´s hard to answer, and I always give the same answer: You are legally allowed to travel without visa, but this right is sometimes unknown and can lead to rejections. So you can "risk" it if you are 100% prepared (see first post ...

Thanks Christian. Knowing that UK visit/tourist visa's generally only have a 6 month validity period, I was wondering whether a similiar validity period would apply for Schengen Tourist visa's as well. Re: schengen visa help

You will need one visa for each person. Copy the papers of the car, adding a note that the original is with the visa-application of person X. Whether you need multi-entry depends on which countries other than France you plan to visit. If you stay within Schengen, you will only need a single entry. R...

Re: Schengen Tourist visa for 2 visits within a 7/8 month pe

Maximum validity for Schengen-visas is 5 years. So "yes", you can apply for this.

If you apply for "double entry" you can only enter twice. If you have "other travel in-between", it should either be outside Schengen, or you will need "multiple entry" rather than "dual entry".

If the embassy faxed everything to the airport, the denial was due to overbooking (even if KLM denies this). Call KLM headquarter in AMS. If they don´t give you a new, free ticket + compensation, you should sue them. "Just" a new, free ticket >>won´t do<< . Please make sure to get as much proof as p...
