Can my mother use the NHS?

Hi all, My mother is very stressed lately due to loneliness (she raised me on her own and I'm an only child), so I want to invite her to live with me for 6 months. But I'm worried that her asthma may act up when she is here and we can't afford private healthcare. Her travel insurance won't cover exi...

What to do with the old Tier 2 BRP after getting ILR

Hi guys, at application centre they did not take my Tier 2 BRP card. I now had ILR, what should I do with the Tier 2 card now. Do I have to send it back to home office somehow?

Schengen tourist visa with a British partner

Hi guys, I am travelling with my boyfriend to Italy for 3 days. He is British, so I will be the only one to apply for the Schengen tourist visa. The thing is we have booked all flight tickets and hotel together, so all the bookings will show the name of 2 people. In this case do I need to include an...

Re: Offer from one of the Big4

Hi, I have obtained/changed Tier 2 visas 3 times as an audit grad/senior with 2 practices so far, the last one was just 6 months ago with no issue. Big 4 are very professional about this, they have their own legal firm for this kind of thing, or in some cases partner with a specialist. So if they sa...

Who should the absence letter be addressed to

Hi guys, So after much worries, my previous employer has agreed to give me an absence letter. However per their standard procedure they insist I must provide a name and postal address for the addressee of the letter. This is only for the sake of the header in their standard reference template, and t...

HELP PLEASE! No absence letter from previous employer

Hi guys, I changed Tier 2 sponsors half a year ago and made a stupid mistake of not requesting the absence letter from my previous employer. I'm now really panicked. I am trying to contact them to get the letter, but understandably they are now on holiday, so I'm not sure about the outcome of this. ...
