To me there is a (big?) difference between you are away for holiday for 6 days and went back to the country for half a year.

Depending on the reason it has been delayed? Expect longer if PEO decide to carry out document verification i.e invoices.

It is in their hands now and try to lead a normal life (I know easy said than done) but time will pass faster if you just ignore it for as long as you can.
