Check this out MAA5 What evidence of maintenance is required? For applicant's and / or sponsor's funds: * Statements covering at least 3 months * Are there regular transactions? * Are the funds immediately available? * Large deposits with no evidence of normal transactions need careful examination.

charl wrote:Is £100 per week (£400) a month after expenses such as rent, bills, student loan repayments or do I need to show £400 left in my bank after everything i.e. petrol expenses, leisure activites etc?
To be precise, it is £437 per month NOT £400 (at £100.95 per week).

If you look at HMRC it reads as ... Immigration control and tax credits If you're subject to 'immigration control' you won't normally be able to get tax credits. When you're not subject to immigration control You're not subject to immigration control if any of the following applies: * you’re a UK ...

Once ILR granted ... you will be eligible to apply for benefits and you can claim the ones you are entitled for and shouldn't affect your application for naturalisation.

What was your immigration status in March 2007?

To apply for naturalisation as spouse of a British citizen, you should have been legally resident in the UK for three years at the time of the application.

Two issues the way I see it ...
1) Traffic offence - the 3 points resulted from this offence on your driving licence will be cleared in 4 years.
2) Conviction in court - will be spent in 5 years which can be tricky for naturalisation.

My understanding is that there is a two year qualifying period to apply fore ILR and you should not apply 28 days before that. Since your spouse visa was issued in UK in March 2008 then you are at least within the 28 days period. i.e if you have not already celebrated your 2nd anniversary. Have a lo...

Claiming CB shouldn't affect your naturalisation application once you are granted ILR. And you can only claim a backdated CB payment up until the time you were entitled for it. i.e if you would have been entitled for CB before you were granted ILR, then it may be backdated upto 3 months.
