New online Application Form

Hi Members and Moderators, Like many of you, I have noticed today that the SET(O) Application form is now available online and can be used for an application. Following is my situation: 1) I have to apply for my wife and dependent child for their ILR. I was granted ILR last year under Tier 1 General...

Re: SET (O) Form Changed but not available to download

I think you will be safe @tier2ilr.

What is the difference between applying online and in person? I mean does applying online means just filling out the form online and printing it out instead of downloading and printing the application and then filling it up?

Re: Tier 1 (General 5 Year Route) Dependent - ILR Checklist.

I checked with my GP surgery today. They do not have a policy to give out letters in terms of the address proof etc. However they did say a letter can be provided in stating that the couple has been registered with the surgery from so and so date. However they have informed me that they will not men...

Re: Tier 1 (General 5 Year Route) Dependent - ILR Checklist.

Additionally, I need to use just one SET(O) application form. I can include my wife and daughter in the same application form. Is that correct? I was initially thinking that my wife and daughter each need to have their own application form. I hope my understanding is correct. Can someone please clar...

Re: Tier 1 (General 5 Year Route) Dependent - ILR Checklist.

No maintenance fund requirement for ILR as PBS dependent. So that certainly means I dont need to show\provide my 12 months bank statements and payslips with the P60s. Does that mean the above checklist of documents is good enough for a PEO appointment for ILR? Can someone please review? Thanks a lot.

thanks for your reply CR001.

That is what the lady at the Passport office told me when I called today. Was that you there? :D

I checked timelines on the MN1 thread. Looks like most folks have received within a week or within 2-3 working days.

Passport for MN1 Applicant - Time to arrive.

Hi All,

Any idea how much time it takes for the passport to arrive? I have checked the status online for the MN1 process and it shows Decided on 8th October, 2017. I also called the passport office and I was informed the passport is in the print stage.

Thanks in advance!

British Passport or ILR for Child born outside UK?

Dear moderators and gurus, I have a quick question. I have an ILR which was granted this year. My child was born outside UK and currently is of age 3. At the moment he is on Tier 1 (General Dependent) which expires next year. He has not completed his 5 years here in the UK. I am pretty sure that is ...

Thanks for your reply Plabo. I am not saying I dont need the certificate. I am in no way saying that it is not important. Eventually I will take it. Its just that it is not required immediately in future for travelling etc. I know HO may not respond but there's no harm in trying, what have I got to ...

MN1 - Query about Passport process.

Hello All, I found a link to check the status of the passport for postal applications. I used that link to submit an inquiry for my child's passport which I have submitted using the NCS service using local council about a couple of months back. I have used the 9 digit bar code on top the council stu...

As long as the start and end date cover 90 days you are good. As you have mentioned that the statements are covering 91 days, you are ok even if there are not many transactions.

Thanks for your reply.

IHS query resolved.

Regarding the other bit, yes so she has a valid tier 1 dependent visa all throughout the 5 years. What do u imply when you say without a break? A break as in from shifting one visa to another? Is that right?

Re: MN1 form section 6 - Biometric Enrolment

1) I think they can get a digital photo anywhere and send them over to you. It need not be a photo that needs to be taken in the embassy. As long as the photo follows the guidelines set by the UKVI its going to be fine. You need to complete section 6. 2) Regarding referees, lets see what the other m...

Re: ILR - Tier 1 General Dependent Requirements.

And are there any IHS surcharges applicable to Tier 1 (General) Dependents who are applying for their ILR ?

I would appreciate if anyone could comment on the above 2 posts for me please. I think dependents applying for ILR dont have to pay IHS surcharge. Can someone confirm this ?

ILR - Tier 1 General Dependent Requirements.

Hello Dear members and moderators, I had a real quick question. I have got my ILR this year. I now need to apply for ILR for my wife. She entered the UK in Feb 2013 and went back in October 2013 for the birth of our child. After that she was back in April 2014 (after approx 190 days) and has been wi...

Well this may sound silly to a few, you can sometimes blindly trust the advice of most of the moderators on this forum. They are on par with most immigration advisers you would find online and they help you out for free :D :)

Dear CR001, I had a quick question for you. Apologies for the informal way of addressing you. 1) My child was born last year 2) I got my ILR this year (Tier 1 General - 5 years to ILR) 3) He never had a passport from any other country as we never traveled anywhere. All he had was his birth certifica...

Hmm, well I have not used any separate format. I explained all the leaves in a cover letter
in a tabular format one after the other in a sequence. They were all the days I had spent outside the UK. The dates for each of them, the number of days and the reason.

Hi all experts, I am planning to apply for ILR as a Tier 1 General holder in June and am preparing for the same. I had a few questions on how to fill the form properly (Sorry for the long post. Hope people can understand my nervousness in this important step): 1) Section 6: Immigration History: Que...
