Re: Premiun service for ILR for EEA Family member

It is possible to travel abroad with an expired residence document. You could apply for a family permit (visa) abroad in order to return. While this might not be particularly convenient, it would be an option.

Singh Refusals following Centre of Life Rule

Hi everyone I have noticed a lot of UK family permit refusals recently after the new 'centre of life' rule has come out in Jan. I am interested in knowing the exact reasons and I'm sure it would also help others who are planning to apply via the Surrinder Singh route. It would be great if you could...

It sounds reasonably well organised. Keep a cover letter with a record of what you enclosed (your index may suffice).

Re: Amendment to EEA Regulation from 1/01/2014 Singh diluted

Is it possible for HO to check if an EU national is travelling between UK and other EU state. I travel to UK every month for one weekend. At border control i usually show them my passport. No one scans my passport. Would there be any reason for you to declare or not to disclose this? Information ca...

Another angle to pursue might be that you've already benefited from a code 1 and so should not be subject to the new rules. When last did you enter the UK?

I can understand why you want to be home until your Dad gets better.

Re: EEA Application

Have you read through directive 2004/38/ec? Do you comply with its terms?

There may be a number of problems that a decision make might pick on. Having or not having permanent residence is not likely to inconvenience you greatly.

Re: transfer of residence documentation to new passport

The UK will not have a problem with your documentation. You may (i.e. this might happen) have a problem with an airline clerk afraid of allowing an undocumented passenger to board. Just prepare yourself for this and don't take no for an answer.

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

The UK has imposed a new test on British citizens who had exercised treaty rights abroad. Are you aware of this? We have a sticky on this subject above. Having worked in France for a substantial period, not withstanding the legality or otherwise of the new rules, it would appear difficult to argue t...

This would depend on where you married. Where exactly were you married? (If in COE, you are likely not to require anything special).

Re: HI every1 urgent help

You need to launch an appeal. I suggest you try and engage with someone such as a solicitor, professional adviser. You need to try and understand the reasons for the refusal. It appears that the decision maker believes you failed to provide sufficient evidence that your ex-spouse was exercising trea...

Re: family member of an Eu national

Effectively, there is no real distinction between a normal Schengen visa and one issued under the directive - it's just a visa. Of course, those there are special provisions for family members of EU citizens. The non-EU citizen must demonstrate that they are a family member of an EU national and tha...

Re: Residence Card on A4 Sheet of Paper

So complain, spend another fee on the application and put your and your familys holidays on hold just to get the sticker in the passport rather than having it on a piece of paper? I think you've missed the point entirely. Who said you'd have to pay another fee? You have the opportunity to do someth...

Re: EEA3 - CSI and EHIC query

UKBA's policy changed regarding the requirement for CSI for students (around 2011). If you successfully applied for documentation without CSI evidence, then their policy is generally not to require it.

You could apply for permanent residence certificate and test whether you receive it.

Yes my wife is working in a school now she is a full time employee... solicitor dont care... He just told that i have no permission to work he cant help. If your solicitor told you that, I suggest that you change. That said, an EEA application ought not to have required specialist help unless there...

Re: Residence Card on A4 Sheet of Paper

I would complain if I were you. Presumably you were charged £55 for the privilege? Ofcourse i was charged. Complain and then what? Nothing will change and nothing will happen. Letting off a little steam by posting is fine if that helps you. It won't get your residence card into a passport. You have...

Re: EEA2 REFUSED- Reapply or appeal?

I was wondering if someone could really advice me as a matter of urgency. I am married to an EEA national. We got married in India later we registered our marriage in POland. Now we are in Uk from March 2013. I have applied for my EEA2 but i recieved a refusal, The reason why they refused is, when ...

Re: EEA2 REFUSED- Reapply or appeal?

Unfortunately it is not much you can do in your situation. HO has changed their EEA acknowledgement letter format recently so they cannot confirm your right to work. Tell your employer to contact HO if they need a proof. Explain everything to your employer. Show him/her European regulations 2006 wi...

I'm moving this to the UK naturalisation section where it might be better served. PR will be achieved automatically on her fifth anniversary. She would be entitled to a permanent residence card on that date. Being British citizen's spouse she would not need to wait an extra year. What proofs are you...
