I got a reply today after 3 weeks stating :oops: : "Application is being prepared for submission to the Minister, you will be informed of the Ministers decision as expeditiously as possible" :) Is this ahead of 2nd stage :?: And any chance for me to be part of next citizenship ceremony? Thank you 8)

Section 16 also says "and of the use of the right of free movement of the EEA national (e.g. a registration certificate)." My EU spouse doesn't have this. Thanks so much. Anyone got experience of travelling to Hungary on Stamp4EUFAM only with EU spouse? Section 16 (at the end of the page) https://dublin.mfa.gov.hu/eng/page/informations-about-visa-applications I recommend to take a print out of this page and bring any other document mentioned there.

She needs to either work, be a student or live with sufficient resources including having health insurance for all immediate family members. There is no guidance available from office regarding minimum money to show as living with sufficient resources, some applicant who went this route said 40,000 ...

I got an email reply (after a gap of 4 weeks) that my application is in advanced stage now. While it
is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

A friend had to show 40k euros in bank plus comprehensive insurance cover. " if you get Stamp 4 as a spouse of an EU citizen, the requirement is that you must hold health insurance". This will be unfair given EEA nationals can get away and I don't think department will allow this.

Is it the first letter that you got 2 days ago? I checked again, I actually submitted in mid February and got letter of acknowledgement + second stage letter in mid March. It says usually it takes 6 months for an application to be processed from the date of submission. This 6 months is over for me. ...

I am not expert in this particular case.

But yes according to the law you must inform the office and apply for retention of rights using EU5 application.

I went to local Gardai Station yesterday. It seems EU Treaty office are sending instructions to your local garda office and they haven't received this letter from EU Treaty office and so Gardai advised me to come again next week. 5 years ago when I got EU1 application approved, this was not the case...

I have been contacting Hungarian embassy in Dublin to check if Stamp4EUFAM holder could visit Hungary with EU spouse but no response. Without getting Schengen visa.

Anyone visited Hungary with Stamp4EUFAM recently?
