Even there is an absence letter, days outside UK should not exceed 180 days in any consecutive 12 month period preceding the date of application.

Hi there The rule on exceeding 180 days absences in a 12 month period when applying for ILR explains that exceptions are only made on the basis of serious compassionate grounds.
