Re: ILR Success - SHEFFIELD PEO

All, Thanks all for your responses to all my queries, though some of it sounded really silly :) My husband, me and my son have been approved ILR on 04/03/2013 at the Sheffield PEO. Appointment at 9am, arrived PEO at 08:45am as we realised that we didn't book the appointment confirmation at the elev...

Hi DB Congrats! I have few questions. My case is similar where i was on long absence during my WP. 1. As you mentioned that the CW was inputting NI number to check whether any contributions are made, do you think she was checking only for the months which you were absent to see whether you are paid...

Auto test-Like uksettlement has advised if you still have time on your visa, try to calculate a day when your absences don't cross over 180 in a year. That's your safest bet

And paternity leave is not considered to be compassionate or compelling and no discretion will be applied

All I wrote was parents are in India.

If I keep writing my relatives and friends names...it will never end.

It's more of a question to gauge the relationship you have in your domicile country.

I think he means he didn't submit any employer letter. For a WP,ILR applicant No Employer's Letter asked? I thought this was one of the CORE document, for CW,before making the decision. No I think the CW are relaxing it if your current visa is Tier 1. The discretion is still being used as the rules...

Hi, I am planning to apply on 11 April 2013. The below are the absence list. I am also not sure whether I should calculate the break period from the day I am applying or from the visa granted date. I mean my initial visa was granted in Nov 2007 and I should consider from Nov 2007- Nov 2013, to calc...

Hi Please could you tell me - when we make the absences per year table, should we split the long absence into two years or should we maintain the start and end dates of the absence. eg: if the absence is from Jan to June, in the table should we say from Jan to Mar - x days and Mar to June 'y' numbe...

Hello Just paid an exorbitant amount for a 30 minute consultation with an immigration advisor. Make sure you have your business bank statements that show that invoices are being paid into your account 3. Invoices are not mandatory - you dont need them if you have a business bank account a...

List your total absence as follows witjh your visa status. For example, if the date of application is 11 November 2012, the consecutive periods would be as follows: Year 1 11 November 2012 to 10 November 2011 Year 2 11 November 2011 to 10 November 2010 Year 3 11 November 2010 to 10 November 2009 Yea...

Thanks cs95tdg.
Well I didn't want to make it complicated, so I just put my long absence as business. No questions were asked because I was on tier 1 - and yes it was unpaid. I'm sure my NI number would have showed that I did not have any NI or tax for those 7 months. [/b]
