Re: Template responses to email inquires and what they mean...

What I intend to say is the exact same thing you are pointing to, all of these replies are saying the same thing. As per legal requirement, they are obliged to answer any query related to an application submitted in a public office. But the pity is they are using templates and there is no guarantee ...

Template responses to email inquires and what they mean...

Re: Ceremony dates?

Finally some good news about the next ceremony:). Did they say about when they would make an official announcement on the date? Hopefully this is true! Can't wait. I called today and got the same response that the next ceremony is fixed on 26/11/2018 at Killarney. She further added that this is goi...

Re: Got married abroad while separated in Ireland

@jetthorse8181 If you were married for 12 years then it won't be an issue, as the 7 year rule applies from the date of first spousal permission not the date of separation. You might be grand here. For the overlap period between separation and next marriage, you can claim it as a defacto relation. Go...

I just copied this text from Irish policy document for non-eu family reunification. Perhaps every country have their own rules set for such purpo...

Re: Got married abroad while separated in Ireland

I am afraid that might be the case as per this policy. But again none of us here at the forum is a solicitor or taking decisions on behalf of INIS. All we can do is to gather maximum information and be prepared through this community forum. Try a good solicitor and be prepared that you have to prove...

Re: Got married abroad while separated in Ireland

re-marry your PK wife if you are now fully divorced just an idea  then it will be valid Even if you "re-marry" , there might be complications if your residence in Ireland was sponsored as a spouse of Irish/EU national. Section 20.1 of family reunification for non EEA members "A sponsor who is...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

I applied in Aug 2016 under the old application. Emailed them yesterday to see if any update and was told that it's in the advanced stage of processing, What exactly does that mean? I think it means that your application has been submitted to minister for decision. Once it back from minister office...
