Re: Clarification on information in email received to apply for evisa

Every BRP you applied for, whether a BRP renewal, a visa extension or replacing a lost BRP, will each have their own new identifying number.

Re: Clarification on information in email received to apply for evisa

2. Do you mean and can confirm that a renwed BRP (for those with ILR) has a different number from the one in the initial BRP that was valid for 10 years?
Each BRP issued has its own unique number. It is not the same number for the whole immigration journey.

1. Standard Service (6 months wait) 2. Super-Priority Service (Next Working Day) That is all that is available for Set(M). We were hoping to use the 'Priority Service' which is £500 less than the Super-Priority Service; is this not available for SET M? 5 day Priority service is not available for Se...

Re: Spouse Dependent Visa Queries

Spouse Settlement visa has more stringent requirements. She would need English A1 test, you need to prove you meet the financial requirements for a minimum of 6 months. You have to prove you have adequate accommodation. It will be 2 x 2.5 year visas. It is more expensive visa fee. Has no restriction...

Re: Can we apply for Schengen visa while on a UK tourist visa?

Or do they have to get their Schengen visa from India before travelling to the UK.
They need to apply in India before travelling. As part of the Schengen visa process within the UK, they have to prove they have residence in the UK (BRP card for example), which they don't have.

Re: ILR Set M rejected

It is their visa category that determines the form they apply on, regardless of what doesn't feel right. You need to complete the form as best you can. Their ILR is based on your previous visa category and you now holding ILR.

You applied using the wrong form!

They apply on form SET(O). You need to submit a new application, and will have to pay fees again. The other fees will be refunded.

Free to travel.

Note that passports from abroad can take anywhere between 16 weeks and 12 months. Applications are a paper form and has to be posted to the UK with all original supporting documents. Plan accordingly.

Re: Child born in UK Before my ILR

Form MN1 is for registering a child as british if born before a parent got ilr. It is an application under section 1(3), which is an entitlement to register as british Form SET O is for ilr, you are not applying for ilr for the child. The child doesnt need ilr. Your wifr applies for ilr on form set ...

Re: ILR 28 days vs Application Date rules

There was no need to switch her visa category after you got ilr. She could have simply continued extending her pbs dependent visa till she qualified for ilr in Set O, which is for ilr not an extension.

Re: ILR 28 days vs Application Date rules

You cannot combine pbs dependent and flr m spouse visa time to make up 5 years for ILR.

She needs 5 years flr m spouse visa OR 5 years pbs dependent.

Set M is for spouse visa holders afyer 5 years

Set O is for pbs dependents afyer 5 years
