Re: ILR eligibility - just short of 5 year qualifying period

You do not seem to understand how the lawful residence calculations work or what section 3C actually is. The date of your biometrics is not relevant much

I covered all these here: How to apply early and benefit from the date of the ILR decision ?

In addition, I found this one from governement website: check if you can become a British Citizenship: https://www.gov.uk/british-citizenship If you’ve applied for citizenship, you’ll need permission to stay in the UK until you’re granted citizenship. Your permission needs to last until you have ha...

Thank you for your answer. That's really helpful However, when I search online about switch from a visitor visa to other visa, it seems that you can not switch it in the UK. "No. Unfortunately, you cannot switch from a Visitor Visa to any other visa in the UK. The Visitor Visa is intentioned as a w...

Re: Time in UK (Affected due to COVID)

It starts from the BRP issue date for ILR. During COVID many workers were allowed to start work early for their prospective employers while waiting for a work visa but that did NOT change the ILR requirements. The fact that you started without a visa while waiting for the visa does not bring your el...

Re: How can ILR holder get fast-tracked for eVisa?

Proving ILR is indefinite makes no sense. ILR means indefinite leave to remain and embassy workers of other countries very likely know this The eVisa system is NOT open to all yet and it is estimated to be rolled out fully this summer. So there is no fast or slow way to get an account yet. At the en...

Re: ILR for Skilled worker dependent spouse and children

Thank you Zimba! One more doubt. I got ILR 02-Oct-2023. When I will be eligible to apply UK Passport or I should apply evisa due to BRP expire on 31-DEC-2024 ? ILR does not have an expiry. A British passport is a travel document that only British citizens can get. As advised, you must apply to natu...
