Report at least the trips that are obvious (by stamps in your passport) plus the ones for which you can still retrieve the evidence, and leave the burden of proof to UKBA. Thank you. I don't think its their business where the EU citizen has been and for how long as long as they have employment hist...

When applying for jobs, don't state the expiry date of the Family Permit and don't use the word "visa". Just put on your CV: "Permission to work: EU family member". Would get you pass the first screening. They will eventually ask to see proof (they are required by law) probably before making you an...

Advice on sending EEA3+4 together

EEA Polish citizen with blue card Registration Certificate and non-EEA spouse with 5 year residency. Five year residency achieved AFTER blue card registration certificate granted. (Is there still need to provide WRS cards from before the blue card?) We want to send our EEA3+4 applications together i...

The "stamp" looks so cheap and dirty anyway. I WANTED A PRETTY STICKER! You'll get a "pretty stamp" when you receive confirmation of PR soon. Thanks Plum70... you know the one I am talking about, with a pretty little picture and a shiny bit to it as well. Makes your passport heavier and seem more i...

In 2006 I got my Right of Residence "stamp" not "sticker" as a family member of an EEA national (valid 5 years). Is this the same as the "sticker"? Since then I always had my passport stamped (Heathrow, Gatwich, Stanstead, Luton) and landing card requested. Was not aware of EU directives. Although I...

Re: Collection of paperwork for EEA3+4

UK enter stamps 11.(3) . Thanks 86ti, but this just shows how much they know of their own law because they've been stamping my passport for the last 5 years even though my EEA familiy member permit is in it... maybe next time I travel I should take with me the printout of the EEA regulations and sh...

Re: Collection of paperwork for EEA3+4

Unless you are trying to crush and maim the UKBA case worker with paper, i do not see the point of including everything. But if you do, you should also include all your supermarket receipts from the time you arrived in the UK, and a photocopy for their records! :-) Also, just send your current pass...

To give you an idea of the amount of paperwork that can be sufficient: the EEA4 application of my wife was 181 grams (as weighed at the postoffice to calculate the postage). We sent it in early October and we received her Permanent Residence Card end of January. 181g - wow, can you say roughly in m...

Andrej i would suggest you to include any proof that your EEA partner has registered for WRS in the first place (registration certificate). I might not sound sensible as your wife obtained blue card later but my solicitors insisted on including the initial WRS registration to avoid any delays with ...

I suppose your Residence Card was issued on 14 August 2006 and you applied for it a few months earlier, so it seems likely that you already qualify for Permanent Residence. If so, then you have already acquired it automatically. When you apply for confirmation of your PR (by EEA4 form) you will get...

I think some of your questions can be answered simply logically. All available P60s and payslips for the missing part or maybe it is possible to have a new one issued(?) P60s are okay and not bulky + payslips for period not covered by p60s. Ok, thanks. If you have been in full-time employment you m...

Offer of employment but EEA residence stamp running out

I have recieved an offer of employment from the NHS :D supposed to start in late July 2011 BUT... My 5 year EEA residence stamp is running out 14 August 2011. The human resources made copies of my passport and EEA stamp but have not said anything yet. What do I tell them if they point to my short ti...

Collection of paperwork for EEA3+4

I know that "proof of residence" and "exercise of treaty rights" is somehow explained by the HO on forms and guides provided but I would like some advice from veterans on what are the best papers to send in with the EEA3+4 application to prevent the HO from claiming insufficient evidence or some suc...

Of course, no reason to waste a lot of money on a solicitor. And after you receive your Certificate of Application you can already ask for your passport or other essential documents to be returned. I am starting to agree... Processing times have slightly improved, by the way; nowadays it is somethi...

it is absolute rubbish what you've been told about WRS. She was on WRS for the 1st year of her employment, then received her residence certificate, and that's it. No more need to update her WRS anymore. Your application seems absolutely straight-forward to me, don't see the point to waste 600 pound...

If your case is straightforward and you have all the evidence, then a solicitor should not be necessary. Are you concerned that you do not meet the requirements for any reason? When are you moving? I think I am just naturally paranoid and distrust all bureaucrats. Also my Polish wife applied for he...

Should I use a solicitor for EEA4 application?

I am about to apply for PR - EEA4 and am considering using a registered solicitor to work my case. It is quite a bit of money (£600) when considering EEA applications are free if not for the postage. I just know I would not have to worry about papers or moving homes since the solicitor's address is...

Normally it is not possible to get duplicate P60's, but may be you're lucky and is it not a problem for your employer. You do not really need a P60 to prove exercising treaty rights , a simple letter from your employer confirming during which period you worked there is also sufficient, or perhaps y...

proof of "Exercising treaty rights" for EEA3+4

Going to be applying soon for EEA4 (Non-EU) and EEA3 (EU) after 5 year of EEA family member stamp (non-EU) and blue Residence Permit (EU). I know the EU citizen has to provide proof of "Exercising the treaty rights" and we are trying to locate P60s for years 2006-2011. So far we found P60 for year 2...

Travelling on dual passports - both non-EU

Also showing one passport at the ticket desk (as they equally check for visas before issuing tickets) and another at the passport control on exiting a country are two different things.

I did not even know they were offering one day counter service for EEA4. I knew some vague info that they were going to start doing it. You would think that in these hard financial times the HO would be wanting to make some extra cash by offering this kind of service. I am willing to pay extra to be...

I noticed the difference when travelling alone on my EEA family stamp and when travelling together with my wife. They always ask me stupid questions when alone: Am I still with my wife? Where does she work? Where do we live? Why is her job so far from our home? (20 mins by train) When my wife is wit...
