Re: Stamp 5 processing time?

Well if it says 6 months, then it will take more or less 6 month :) I applied for Long Term Residency and it took around 4 months. So I believe it will take similar time for Stamp 5.

Re: About the oldest Stamp start date for the Naturalisation Residency Calculation

The main reference point is the first stamp in your passport when you are registered for the first time. The difference is only 4 months so I would count it as October 2022. But you can also try to explain your situation and mention covid time in your cover letter. (if you really want) Thank you so...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I submitted my application on April 19, 2021. I has been THREE months after my e-vetting got viewed on April 26, 2022. No any update then. Any suggetions? I think eVetting is the last stage, after it's viewed (and if it looks good) you will get approval at some stage. Any suggestion? Just be more p...

Re: Recent experience about entering UK without visa for travelling to Ireland via airport

I do agree with your point and I totally forgot that Brexit happened, UK always asked for transit visa for my home country. And that table still says (for my situation) citizens of your country needs transit visa with the exceptions below. I referred to having EEA country issued resident permit as e...

Recent experience about entering UK without visa for travelling to Ireland via airport

As this topic is discussed before (at the moment I am at the airport so can’t really search for it) but just wanted to share my unpleasant experience I had today. I am non-EU person travelling from my home country with valid IRP card and flight from home city to Stansted then to Cork. The table for ...

Re: After fee process how long to get certificate

This questioned is asked and answered like 10 times already. It takes up to 6-7 weeks for your cert to arrive after payment is processed. You get email when your payment is processed. If it takes more thwn 6-7 weeks after payment processed send them an email.

Funny enough people on Reddit happy that their renewal passport showed up at their door in 24 hours and saying people not giving enough credit to passport department.

They don't even have any clue about the first time applications.

Re: Outside the State for 6+ weeks after application

You can leave State up to 6 weeks in a year without any problem, this "in a year" has 2 different interpreation and no official answer: 1 year as in 1.1.2021 - 1.1.2022 and other interpreation is 1 year between your immigration stamp date on your passport. As in you renewed your IRP and its valid be...

Re: What happen with the IRP when you get your citizenship?

Hi Everybody, Thanks for your answers. In fact, as mentioned by mentalmind, I'm not being asked to give my IRP back. The letter I got is just asking to upload a scanned copy of it when submitting the required documents and pay the payable fee. In addition, by the time I'm abroad, I won't have the c...

Re: What happen with the IRP when you get your citizenship?

From my understanding, you don't have to surrender your IRP card when your citizenship got approved, so you can still use IRP card with your current nationality's passport to get on the plane (as airline companies will ask for proof of permission to enter country). And at Irish border, can't you sho...

Re: 2022 Naturalisation Application response

It's good to see some of the 2022 applicants started getting their acknowledgment letters now. Seem to be CMU1 people. Good for them! Acknowledgement letters doesn’t have separate queues for CMU1 and CMU2 I guess. As I (non EU) got acknowledgement letter in same time as an EU applicant applied. The...

They seem to be processing April right now, I applied on the 17th of April and just got the card, so about 10 weeks of waiting (and right on time for my trip next week!). I think the timeline of 9-10 weeks is currently correct, although I've heard that they expect it to jump to about 12 weeks since...

It just says that I was granted 5 years of residence permit starting from the date of this letter. The letter is dated 21st of June 2022, so whenever I renew it, it will be till 21st of June 2027.

I asked for appointment from Garda station and they didn't say no, so we will see.

I got the approval letter today (took 1 week after sending the payment). Only important thing I would like to note is, the 5 year long term residence date starts from the date of the letter, so for my case it's till June 2027. But because I already have active Stamp 4 till May 2023, it's like 1 year...

No. That number is reference for when getting in touch with ISD. Like providing missing document, asking status of your application (which they give a random answer) and that’s it. No online tracking, no updates. They get in touch with you either for missing documents, eVetting or approval. Nothing ...
