OCI general queries

2 queries on OCI 1. I live in a rented appartment and if I am going back to INDIA (for good) my OCI booklet will still reflect the old address where I lived which has nothing to do with the current state. Will anyone in INDIA anytime have a necessity to contact me at the UK address ? Because this is...

I am bit confused here, if I write names and DOB on back and stick it, the details won't be visible. What is the point of writing something and then hiding it permanentl...

Re: Dependent Visa Query

If you are on ILR your spouse must apply in the same category as the previous points system you were. Ex: If one was on Tier2-ICT and got his/her ILR, then the spouse still applies in Tier2-ICT PBS dependent. Once naturalised, spouse applies as settlement dependent. Please can some others who went t...

Please visit

If you know the address and your passport number (give them the maximum details you can) then UKBA might be able to help.
Mail them the details and they can search your details and get back to you.

Re: what to expect oci booklet or sticker on British passpor

My personal feeling is that VFS is just a facilitator (a front end office for IHC) So the rules and application procedures I guess will be same. Instead of going to HCI and applying, you would have to go to VFS and so it is one more level of abstraction. As per original method, while applying you ha...

Re: NO U visa for OCI anymore

good Move. Now they just need to confirm if existing OCI holders (while renewing their foreign passports), should they refresh their OCI? That is a good question. As per Govt of INDIA, once a person receives OCI, and not above 50yrs age he/she can travel and enter INDIA just by showing their foreig...
