You cannot be paid or work for anyone until your status is changed. Your Tier 2 visa conditions are extended until your status is changed

Your status is determined within the rules in normal circumstances.
Any exception and discretion will be applied outside the rules and by the HO. You can try SET(LR) at your own risk
