Re: ILR(Long Residence) eligibility concerning Exceptional Assurance

Just to add that any migrant in the UK whose visa expired between 24 January 2020 and 31 July 2020 was able to request an extension if they were unable to return to their home country due to a COVID-19 lockdown. This was not the same as the EA introduced later on when things eased out

Any migrant in the UK whose visa expired between 24 January 2020 and 31 July 2020 was able to request an extension if they were unable to return to their home country due to a COVID-19 lockdown. So if that was your case, you should be ok EA was different. If at that time you could extend or apply fo...

Re: ILR Qualifying Period - 180 days absence

Your first visa approval date is irrelevant. As I said, it is from the date the caseworker looks at your application to decide your ILR application and so counts 5 years backwards. If applying for super priority, I suggest using the date of your biometrics and counting backwards 5 years.

Re: ILR Form

You seem to be using the wrong forms for every application you are making. I am not sure why you are not seeking advice beforehand ??
The correct form for people under 10 year family route is the adult settlement form: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... t-relative

Re: Statement of changes in immigration rules (Long residence)

The rule changes are intended to prevent these kinds of attempts. You would be better off applying for a new extension under your own route and then vary that to the long residence

Re: Further leave to remain

I have been living in the UK since June 2017. My son born in India moved along with me. When he moved he was 9 months old. This year he will complete 7 years in the UK. Can we apply for further leave to remain in status? No as he is not under private life route: https://www.immigrationboards.com/in...

Was your first visa issued under the 5 year route to begin with ? What did the decision letter say ? Unless you are under the 5-year family route you cannot apply for ILR

It counts from the date of decision and backwards. If in any 365 day period, you had more than 180 days of absence, you cannot get ILR

Re: Help with last visa before applying for 10 year route

You need to have held you visa under ROUTE for at least a year, so an extension under the same route does not prevent you from applying immediately

Re: 10 Year long residence ILR application Settlement Adult Relative

The long residence is NOT the private life route under Appendix Private life. SET(LR) requires to prove English language
Adult settlement is for people applying after 10 years under the 10 year family/private life route ONLY

You misunderstood the notice !!! That is only for people who want to apply under the family route ILR. Under the long residence, your current visa route does NOT matter. SET(LR) is the correct form :!:
