This is really a nice thread..I would like to say again that DONT COME TO UK FOR SAVINGS/MONEY especially if you are in IT (since in IT ,you get paid good amount in India as well ,while in UK,there is not HUGE difference betwwen IT and other jobs)...But you will really have a GOOD QUALITY life which...
BOTTOM LINE is that you will end up saving same amount in both countries. i.e 800/900 GBP in UK(for salary of 30-35K) and 60000 INR(for Sal of 10-14 lacs) considering 7-10 years of experience in IT.
