Is it possible to make fresh application if the visa is expired?

Is it possible to make fresh application for same category or different category once appeal has been refused/dismissed?

I haven't been called for interview.

I applied is Sep last year, still waiting for decision.

Some people need to complete 10 years residence to get ILR. If some one completes more than 8 or 9 years with 3 years Entrepreneur visa they would want to go for student visa because its not very easy to extend Entrepreneur visa.

If you have already done masters then you can go for PHD or MPhil.

Can we send them a reminder?

The funds are held abroad. They contacted the bank manager.

We also sent some documents such as new contract, business cards and website link. My business partner called them and they said they have received those documents and will consider them.

Also they verified funds three months ago.

We called them few times and they said no decision has been taken. I dont know what to do, it will be one year by next month.

I applied for visa in Sep 2012 and attended biometrics on 3rd Oct 2012. I haven't heard anything from the Home Office. Any one knows why are they taking that long?
