Ganesh 1. You can include your wife and any children under 18 as dependents in the relevant SET (letter) application form you submit for IRL. If you are successful they will get ILR in line with you. However any children under 18 and born to you in the UK before the grant of ILR can apply for regist...

pazham,

My understanding is that the person in question has already sourced the said workers and is enquiring on the immigration process for getting them legally into the UK on a Work Permit potentially with the help of workpermit.com

Yes the government amended the rules to allow various groups of British Citizens without the right of abode e.g. British Overseas Citizens etc to acquire British Citizenship and have the right of abode in the U.K. There are several criteria to be met particularly that for former BOC's which require ...

As Dip has pointed out reading the HSMP guidance leaflet will provide most if not all the information you require. Further note that posters on this board unless it is expressly stated are volunteers and not workpermit.com staff - consequently your query may take some time to get a response and gett...

Note that if you got additional points from your partner then he/she must accompany or join you in the UK. This will typically be reviewed at the renewal stage by the HSMP Team in the UK but the ECO may ask this at the time of EC application.

Good Luck

My take on this is that HO was covered on the legal aspect by virtue of statement in WP form that such was also an application for Leave To Remain for in-country applicants. Further note that the Home Secretary has immense power to grant LTR even orally irrespective of how the LTR is application is ...

Mr. Khan, 1. The HSMP Team will accept your application as an under 28 category if it is received before your 28th birthday. Depending on your date of birth in March given that today is the 15th, whether or not you have all the relevant documentation to substantiate claimed points and taking into ac...

Are you aware of any impediments to you taking work in your chosen field (such as debarment from required organisation)? Impediment/debarment in this context refers to those reasons that would stop you from practicing in your profession in the U.K. Such tends to be for regulated professions - for e...

I am sorry to hear that your H-1B visa was refused. Regretably the H-1B cap for this fiscal year has been reached and I suspect any repeal of the refusal/ acceptance of a new application may have to be for the next fiscal year starting in October 2004. Various exemptions appy to the cap but more inf...

AFAIK there are no employers/ agencies etc posting recruitment on this board and presume that such is not allowed in any case. You should go to the usual job related sites e.g. www.monster.co.uk where you may find an employer in your relevant occupation that is willing to sponsor your work permit. G...

The period in which you cannot be absent for not more than 90 days is 'only' the year immediatley before the application date not previous years. It thus appears that you will be o.k. to apply for naturalisation in the circumstances you describe as long you as still meet the overall residence requir...

My intial opinion is that you are likely to get points at senior level rather than as a specialist - I would need to know your skills set and what you did in the technical role vis a vis that being standard in your industry to evaluate scoring points for being a 'specialist'. Hope that helps.

Zia, Your qualifications are considered equivalent to a UK bachelors degree = 15 points. You may or may not wish to use NARIC for an equivalency assesment but many posters on the previous board with similar qualifications got 15 points. Needless to say most of them were complaining that they should ...

My 0.02 c, Appreciate it appears there are too many sublinks here in relation to the 'old' board. However new board is really in 2 sections. One is the UK and this IMHO is appropriatley split into the main sections as per queries on old board - the move to isolate/ position HSMP apart is especially ...
