Re: Tier 1 entrepreneur extension

The reason I ask is because of this paragraph under the extension section on page 26. (i) If you have bought property as part of your business investment, the value of any residential accommodation cannot be included. You must provide an estimate of the value of the residential accommodation if it i...

Thanks marcnath,

I was under the impression that the value of a commercial property is classed as an investment if that premise will be used for business. Thanks

Re: ILR for tier 1 entrepreneur

Thanks Aman90, I wasn't aware that they can apply anytime after completing 3 years. Is this mentioned somewhere in the guidance? I have only read "28 days before" in certain pages but that could be more for ILR I assume. You mentioned - The rolling basis is calculated from applications submitted and...

Re: ILR for tier 1 entrepreneur

Hi Marcnath, "Your assumptions are correct, even if the second extension date start on 26/9/20 is unrealistic :D" My reply - Lol, yes he will get the first extension (fingers crossed) after 3 years 4 months. I was referring to the ILR calculation counting backwards from 5 years..then that should be ...

ILR for tier 1 entrepreneur

Hi, The initial grant for tier 1 entrepreneur is 3 years 4 months and after extension another grant of 2 years is given. Does this mean tier 1 entrepreneur can apply for ILR at 5 years 4months (28 days before ofcourse) or can they apply after 5 years of getting their first leave to enter. Thanks Aaina

Re: 200K investment

Thanks ever so much Zimba. I guess I was under the wrong impression of spending the entire money then. My dad isn't withdrawing any salary out, and he has another director(who is not a tier 1enterpreneur) who is also not withdrawing any salary at the moment. But if this other partner does withdraw -...

Hi, Was wondering if someone can help. For extension we have to invest 200k in a business. Is it okay if we open two companies as a director and invest 100k in one and 100 k in another. One will be a food business and another a health business. Or do we have to invest 200 k in one business only and ...

Re: Director of a limited company

Oh okay, thanks

The reason I was marking it as dormant was because then we might have to hire an accountant immediately if it's active. Am I right?

Secondly, can we just register it at our home address and change the address later once we have a suitable place to rent?

Thank you
