If "end of day" balance is 800 or above, and the statement is issued in the format as you state, you are fine. Careful Sush  I hope you remember my story pre-pankina matter @Wazobia Which bank statement are you presenting? If did not use abbey national bank at that time, i wouldnt be in troub...

Any updates, Angelica?
I have checked the link and discover that UKBA had a modernised version of the 1997( which appear to address my problem). Is the 1997 one in place in 2009?

Cheers

U remember me Vinny? Thats very nice of you. I hope you knew there was so much mess in my application(s) at that time. I have NOT applied for ILR yet. My case cost me thousands of pounds. I got my PSW few months ago. I just dont have the application fee NOW. Hopefully, i will apply by december. Is t...

Well...the choice is yours. 1) You can make use of your UK bank balance for application made in india. 2) Make sure you pass your dissertation before you EVEN think of going back home. Submitting disertation does NOT guarantee passing it. Weigh your option very well. It appears it is cost effective ...

Work permit holders went to court and lost. The HSMP Forum Ltd judgement is not about work permit holders at all. PSW applicant went to court but Tier 4 applicants then benefit on the same maintenance funds refusals I believe the main issue in HSMP is the 4/5 years now leading to settlement. The sa...

I thought there should be a ''legitimate expectation'' for everyone that is affected by 4/5 years rule.

Even work permit holders went to court as well albeit 'not well grounded'

I thought every applicants who is entitled to ILR based on 4 years continuous stay can gain from HSMP forum judgement.

Remember pankina judgement was launched by PSW applicant but the benefit was enjoyed by people in Tier 4 as well.

Does Work permit holder benefit from HSMP ruling?

My friend's case is a bit trickish. 1) The main applicant got work permit in October 2005. He was give 4 years work permit. 2) His wife came to join him in May 2006. After about a year, the main applicant change employer and reapply for work permit which was subsequently given for 5 years. First que...

I an NOT very sure of your time as a 'visitor'. Please read the guidance. I think you should go ahead with applying on a 10 years and wife as a dependant of a person applying for settlement(seperate application). There was a form for something like that. While considering your application, they will...

Its strange but that is the reason.

It was almost 2 years NOW. At that time telephone numbers was in the mandatory section. They later made it ''optional'' within the mandatory section.

Very very strange.

1) The fact is that Tier 1 (PSW) cannot be extended (for any reason). So, either you can follow the suggestion offered by Greenie or, if you wish to, may remain in the UK beyond the expiry date of your current leave - and become an overstayer. Do note that staying in the UK for more than 28 days as...

It is not possible to extend leave under psw. Point based system is NONSENSE. Many years ag...

2 Weeks extension for a PSW holder!

A Pal of mine is a post study worker. She cannot get a job so she use dthe chance to be studying again.

Her Visa will be expiring in June but 14 days earlier than her exam. She want to leave UK after her exam but she needs just 2 weeks to finish her exam.

What is the best way to approach this?

Home office Policy on email and telephone!

Hi everyone,

I have read the UKBA documentations several times and cannot just figure this out.

1) How do they use our email address?

2) When can they contact us(applicants) by telephone or emails?

3) do anybody know anywhere where they state that?

Cheers

I was once in that dillema.

It will be very expensive for you to do another course in the same university.

In my opinion, register with a college(Any course!), get CAS and applied. While that is going on, finish up your dissertation.

After getting the Tier 4 visa, you can later apply for PSW.

In PSW, 20 points is to be awarded to applicants for this particular category. Normally, it should be if applicant is on Tier 4 while he was studying in UK, but i read it somewhere in the policy guidance last year that it is NOT really necessary that applicant had a Tier 4 visa "Throughout" the peri...
