Coudl you please clarify what you mean by 5 year short stay? Were you short of completing 5 years continuous residence or you mean 5 years temporary stay.

Hi Friends, My current Tier 1 visa is valid until 24th Jan, 2012. But I am falling short by 71 days due to late entry. Initial visa was issued on 24th Jan, 2007 but I entered UK on 5th April 2007 . I went to PEO with salaried income from two countris. But they refused to accept my application as they told me it would take time to verify overseas income. So I applied in the post and was successful to get extension within 30 days.
