Well it would be pointless to put a name and DOB on the back of a photo and the glue it down wouldn't it? Well I was about to say the same to the operator but I stopped myself not to offend him. I was about to ask what is the purpose of putting the name and date of birth at the back when UKBA will ...

Conflicting advice NCS/UKBA

I called to book NCS appointment and the person in his instructions told me to write my name and date of birth at the back of the photograph and stick with glue on the reference page. He said that do not use the staple or pin. According to him this guideline is given to them in July. Later in the ev...

Cheque or draft?

We all know that the language rules are changing around 28th October. As I am eligible to apply from 15th October I want to make sure I weed out any possibilities of my application returning without a decision. One of the things is payment. I know some cards companies block the request and sometime ...

Re: Not Changing Address

Imran22, There are a few risks which you need to keep in mind if you dont change your address which could come back to bite your Naturalisation application. Thanks again for the post RV. I think I wasn’t clear enough in my previous post. I meant if it is good idea to move home just before putting i...

Hello members Thanks VR for your post. A question just sprung to my mind. If someone changes the address it takes a month or couple to get the databases updated. I think I have noticed this when I ordered my Experian report in the past and the data was out by about 2 months. Do you think changing ad...

The question is what is other member’s experience on amending the address with home office and do they normally do it within promised 72 hours? Also if the fall back option of redirection with post office works?

Really will they take the BRP away? I thought they only take photocopies and return all the originals. Home office can request the original documents if they have any issues. How about the following FAQ. Is it invalid? If you don't have BRP you can't travel because you won't be allowed in? Q2: Can I...

Hi All,

I have a suggestion, can we add the country of origin to the timeline fields so that things are clearer. As everybody knows quite few people in the situation if we add this to the timeline we will be able to look at things on a bigger sample size.

1. Theoretical advice Yea, no problem changing addressed during the process as long as you update your address with UKBA. 2. Practical advice. Do not act on my theoretical advice. :) Right now, naturalisation applications are being decided in less than 2 months. So, the best way would be to apply f...

Re: KoLL requirement from October, 2013

The situation is different for those who applied or apply for settlement before 28 October 2013.......... They will need to satisfy the new KoLL requirement but if they have already passed the Life in the UK test will not need to retake it....... I guess I misread it and she has to pass the English...
