Re: account

A business that is legally obliged to check identity of customers, has of course also the obligation to make sure that they can actually do that. And if they choose not to train their staff properly, they can expect problems in this area from time to time, and will not have a valid excuse. And I ma...

ca.funke's example clearly is about the situation that an ID is not accepted for the single reason that it states the "wrong" nationality. Of course, that is discrimination on the basis of nationality! What else can it be? In my example, the poor lady had no idea what she wanted herself. She wanted...

...I was referring to ca.funke's example that I highlighted in bold in the quote above. Please go ahead, open a booze shop and put a sign like that clearly visible to all customers, refuse to take it away when asked to do so, and see how long it takes before you end up in court... Re: Help?

Hi zoyamalik0055, did you read any of the >>"read before you post"-Announcements<< ? Also, I would recommend posting your topic in the Canada section (I´ll move it there), as there´s hardly any connection to Europe in your case? I also recommend changing the title (see Announcements), but that you w...

I wanted to open account with PTSB in Ireland at some stage. The clerk clearly had no clue: As a dual-national, I had my Belgian ID with me (credit card size) and my old German ID (funny sized laminated thing). Interestingly, the PTSB clerk declared the Belgian ID unacceptable, accepting the German ...

Re: how to delete A/C

Never came across this question, so I don´t know if a user can delete his own account.

You can just leave your account, and just never visit the site anymore.

If you want I can also delete your account for you.

If your passport is taken, you can still be denied a visa. The guys collecting your documents are not the ones deciding if yo will hgeta visa or not. Since you are applying for a visa where the foreseen validity should start after the old visa expires, you can already apply for the visa now.

In all cases you should check if you need an appointment for the application, as otherwise things might get a bit tight between your travels.

One last question - we've kinda messed up and booked flights back to Germany with only a day left on her 90-day Schengen allowance. Will it be a problem for her to enter the country like this? Hi bluecole2, unfortunately the Schengen-system is very crude. As an EEA-family-member you can, but do not have to, apply for a visa. If you do apply for a visa for travelling together with your EEA-partner, the issued visa will look exactly the same as any other visa, as they don´t have a special k...
