I just tried to call the embassy on the outside of the UK number for an update...they are now charging a flat rate of £20 per call. TWENTY POUNDS! That is outrageous! Those responsible for this mess up have a lot to answer for!

Just looking for a bit of clarity here - why have they paused applications that don't meet the financial requirements? Surely they should have just denied them? What happened with the court ruling in February that means they're not straight up denying? I didn't meet the income via my job alone, but ...

You also could call 0300 123 2241 option 2 from inside the Uk to speak to someone about the application. I tried to call today and they've stopped that number from working "while they make changes" This is absolutely ridiculous!

Also, how long can they legally hold an application before making a decision? I've read anything from 24-30 weeks, which is a very long time for them to keep a passport.
