Re: English language test -General training instead of A1?

Azmalta, metanoia is right.

You can’t just take General Ielts, it should be ielts for ukvi, which is also available only in September in Malta. So you have to book your exam somewhere else.

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

AnnaSh,

No, you don’t need to show your income when you apply outside of U.K.

Your rejection is so strange, because it’s written in one place that you met financial requirements, and in another - you don’t... what a bizarre...

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

AnnaSh,

Yes, Casa actually found another contradiction regarding financial requirements.

You should really contact MP and find out more about refusal. Maybe it’s not worth waiting.

I suppose the home office are getting annoyed with people outside of UK complaining to them so they had to create something for applicants in other countries.
So they can just send all our complaints to the spam folder immediately

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

Guys if you were to complain where would you post/send/email/call to? Both of you should send a complaint to complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk, because you are outside of the UK, and he is inside. Only after their refusal to review your complaint ombudsman will review your case. You should refer to ...

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

AnnaSh,
Don’t rely only on the solicitor.

As I said it takes enormous amount of time. To understand real reason for refusal took 4 letters from our MP, and they respond within 3-4 weeks to MP.

Complaint from solicitor is not enough. HO brushes off even MPs now, imagine what they do with solicitors.

Make sure it is IELTS for UKVI not just general, and don’t forget to include test’s UKVI number in the application - how did you meet English language requirements? humble guy you star! i did not see that!! indeed it does clearly state as note 2 "2 IELTS for UKVI can be used where IELTS Life Skills ...

Did you submit wedding plans? Like correspondence with venue or rings receipts? Yeah of course, we submitted the wedding provisional booking which is by the way due in a week 😏 1) Try to find out through MP their explanation 2) both of you should write complaints to UKVI (you will get the response ...

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

Paragraph Gen 1.2 is not about partner only, it states all the possible variations of partner, including fiancé. That probably means that ECO wasn’t satisfied with your relationship documentation, in my point of view. What kind of documents did you submit with your application?

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

In my point of view the extract from the refusal which you typed, means that you didn’t meet the criteria of fiancé (not about 2 years).
Did they elaborate more on it? What didn’t they like? What kind of documents did you submit?

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

AnnaSh,

Can you copy paste the text? Do you have it in e-version of refusal or only paper one?

as possibility, did you provide information how long do you know each other? Maybe ECO didn’t believe in the length of your relationship.

Re: Fiance visa refusal due to no 2 year cohabitation

AnnaSh,

I can imagine how difficult it is to have a refusal, but unfortunately the only recommendation I can give, if you can afford, try to find out the mistake, and reapply.

Can you publish the text of your refusal without personal data?

Re: Fiance visa refusal

AnnaSh, To make long story short. Our MP had multiple communications with the HO, and the reason of the refusal was not the test, but the fact that we didn’t state UKVI number in the application. We reapplied, because appeal timelines are impossible. I will suggest you not to confuse others if you ...

Londoner007, that’s is just what the response from HO was. IELTS for UKVI is suitable as long as you include IELTS for UKVI number in your application.

Re: English language test -General training instead of A1?

I submitted IELTS for UKVI General with my previous application, but I didn’t state the ielts test UKVI number in my application. At the very beginning I couldn’t understand why I was refused. However, through later communication with MP, HO clearly wrote that they refused not because of the test bu...

Re: Can I visit my British husband in the UK on a tourist visa for 6 months before applying for the spouse visa?

It can be difficult, and maybe you should try and apply for visitor visa in USA first, explaining that you are going to come back. But still no guarantee. To prove - you will have to show strong ties, like your own house, your job in USA etc. On the border control they can ask you why you come and f...

Re: Email from UK Decision making Centre asking for Sponsor supporting documentation

I wish you all the best luck, although if I did some planning, I would do it out of the worst case scenario. Their trading standard is 60 business days for priority, and they don't guarantee 30 business days, they just put your application in front of the queue.

Re: Email from UK Decision making Centre asking for Sponsor supporting documentation

They normally start calculation from the day they receive the documents. As soon as now there is a confusion what is the date of the documents receipt, it may be delayed. Also, there is no guarantee 30 business days for priority, so it's better to start building plans when you receive your visa. Wis...

Don’t expect the visa next week, it will probably take longer. TLS Contact provides people with wrong timeline guidance. Previous time my priority application through TLS France took 43 business days.
