If anyone has a gap between the visa issue and arrival date, the concession now in place allows the application to be held on file for processing until the qualifying date...28 days before the 2nd anniversary that you arrived in the UK. This saves you paying a fee of £445 (postal) for Further Leave...

It won't matter that you don't have any savings, as long as you can show that you are able to support yourselves financially on your income. After paying rent or mortgage and council tax you should have a minimum of
£100.95 left per week.

In order to qualify for ILE, and then ILR once the Life in the UK test has been passed, you must have spent the entire 4 years together outside of the UK.[/ b] If you have a period of time when either of you was not outside of the UK and living together then you won't be issued with the ILE visa. If...

Immigration Advisor...where are you getting your information from...it's way out of date! I'm assuming this is just your log-in name and you're not OISC registered! If you have been married for 4 or more years and living for the whole of that time outside of the UK, you can make this clear in your a...

The sentence ' We want to get married' gives a good indication that he does. And the child that Immigration Advisor appears to have assumed exists???...and I fail to see why this 'Advisor' believes it would be in the OP's best interest to apply for a spouse visa in Croatia, when they are entitled to...

You say that your father-in-law is supporting you financially. Is your spouse working? You will be unable to show the financial help from family to support your ILR application as this will be disallowed. You should show the last 3 months of bank statement for ILR and 6 months of payslips. You will ...

MP's hold 'surgeries' when you can make an appointment to see them to discuss issues/problems that you need help with. Call the MP's local office and ask for the next surgery date. You can do this yourself without the solicitor...in fact it will be better if it comes direct from you. MP's do often h...

You won't be able to apply for FLR(M) as he has no valid visa. The best option and quickest would be for him to return to his home country and apply for a spouse visa to re-enter on form VAF4a. He should be honest in the application about his overstay. You don't have to be working as long as you can...

The time on the visitor visa won't count towards ILR. A fiance visa (can only be applied for outside of the UK) is £585. Further Leave to Remain spouse visa applied for after the marriage in the UK is £665 if applied for in person, allowing her to work immediately after it has been granted. I agre...

I agree with John. My only comment would be that now the requirement has been reduced from 20 documents to 6 for some (unexplicable) reason if you're applying in person they appear to want more than the 6 requested. When my husband (successfully) applied at Croydon in March, they selected 15 in tota...

You don't need the proof of relationship for ILR...photos etc. Do you intend to apply in person? If so, you can take everything and they will select what they want. I assume you're submitting the ESOL certificate instead of KOL test? If so, in addition to the certificate you need a letter from the c...
