Totally agree with Olasunkanmi answer regards @ walkingintherain, you don't need to worry about your business partner if he is no longer with you, all you have to do is to show proof that you have invested 50k of your own money and also show that you have employed 2 full-time British/settled workers...

yes u can simply contact the consulate where you made the application and it can be done via fax etc but remember it might impact any future application made by your wife etc.
