Re: Naturalization - more than 6 weeks in 2016 - how to answer

I booked the solicitor for the signatures, but now I was reading that citizenship is not acknowledging new applications because of the lockdown. We would like to go on holiday in M...

Re: EU Treaty rights renewal - InisOnline asks for payment

If you are not in a rush to travel abroad, send the Burgh quay office an email and wait for their response. If you are in a rush, you can try and apply online under the Irish spouse option. You should be exempt from fees if you select that option. You just need to explain why you selected this opti...

Re: Naturalization application after 5 years residence

Yes the last few pages of the application are required to be signed by a witness. A few copies such as the birth certificate also need to be certified by the witness. The witness can be a solicitor, a peace commissioner or a commissioner for Oaths. Most people just go for a solicitor because there ...

Re: Naturalization application after 5 years residence

She can apply for citizenship based on Irish Associations. This would reduce the requirement to 3 years. However, it will be up to the minister to decide whether the 'association' is strong enough.
